Not worth the hassle……
I used this product for one month, and it irritated my scalp so badly that I eventually developed scabs; my hair became dry and brittle, and I would shed tiny pieces. I tried to cancel my subscription, but, like so many others, it's nearly impossible to do so. So I put the subscription on hold. This was two weeks ago and they're still trying to take money out of my account. Thankfully, I used my bank card linked to my account for subscriptions, so the money never stays on that card. I keep getting text alerts that Happy Head keeps trying to charge me. It's 2026. No, we don't want to talk to customer service; we want to cancel the subscription. Please stop calling and stop charging my card. I placed my subscription on a 3-month hold until I could FINALLY SPEAK to someone about canceling. Why are you still trying to charge my card!!! Needless to say, I ended up just going to the dermatologist yesterday. It was much cheaper than Happy Head, including my co-pay. I received a 3-month supply of the pill form and only paid $10. I thought doing Happy Head would be more convenient, but it was nothing but a headache for me and my wallet.

Hi Stephanie, We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience, both with the scalp irritation you described and the frustration around billing and cancellation. That’s understandably upsetting, and we regret the stress this has caused you. First, regarding your scalp reaction: significant irritation, scabbing, excessive dryness, or brittleness is not something we ever want a patient to push through. Certain ingredients commonly used in topical hair treatments — including Minoxidil and/or Retinoic Acid — can cause irritation in some individuals, particularly during the early stages of use. However, scabbing and severe discomfort are signals that treatment should be reassessed promptly. We’re glad you sought care from a dermatologist and that you’re now on a plan that feels better for you. Second, and just as importantly, cancellation and billing concerns should never feel “nearly impossible.” If your subscription was placed on hold, you should not continue seeing active charge attempts beyond any already-scheduled renewal that processed before the hold took effect. We absolutely do not want anyone feeling chased for payment or unable to cancel. That’s not the experience we aim to provide. Your feedback about transparency, pricing, and ease of cancellation is heard. We know convenience is one of the main reasons people choose telehealth, and we’re sorry that wasn’t your experience.
