Unfortunately we are also in the 18 month group! Only use for cups of Tea and in the softest water area part of UK! Have just spent another £100 on a new boiler part. Customer service is pleasant but Customer service doesn't boil my water for a cup of tea! It seems it's a poor product that does not last and I wish I had just spent the money on a Quooker. If this one goes in 18 months then the whole thing is getting binned.

Had the tap less than 18 months and the boiler has stopped working. We have changed the filter as per instructions. Not durable and in my opinion it is reasonable to expect the boiler to work for longer than less than 18 months. Only two in the household, don’t use tap for washing up purely drinks and for coffee we use a coffee machine.

The tap started causing electrical issues and causing switches to shut. This happened after 1year and 3 months of purchase The customer service didn’t want to know They sold us and appliances with out the Tap for £100 after we already paid the full price for the tap.

Good product for the money, until 18 months in when it stops working completely. Only comes with a 12 month warranty. All that aside, the after care is absolutely shocking. The response times on customer service emails is appalling. I was told I need to buy a new boiler unit. Fine. I still don't have the link to purchase it despite asking them twice. Honestly, just spend a bit more and get a Qooker etc

As the warrantee is only a year, and we purchased it a month or two before fitting, the company hasnt offered anything other than for us to buy a new boiler at £120. Seems like the boilers are not made to last much longer than a year.

I strongly advise anyone considering Hanstrom Ltd. to think again. My experience with their customer service has been nothing short of a nightmare. I received a faulty tap, which DOES NOT work, and I’ve been trying to return it within the 7-day window since I got it. However, Hanstrom Ltd. has been completely unresponsive. They have not answered a single one of my emails, and their phone lines are a joke—no one answers. It’s beyond frustrating when you need help with a faulty product, and the company you trusted just vanishes when it’s time to provide support. In hindsight, I should have spent a bit more and gone with a reputable company. Instead, I’m stuck dealing with cowboys who seem to have no interest in their customers once they’ve taken your money. Avoid at all costs!

DO NOT BUY - our Hanstrom hot tap lasted 18 months!!!!! Warranty covers 1 year so not offered replacement or repair. I questioned how a piece of kit like this can have such a short lifespan, owner shrugged shoulders and was like, yeah, they have to work very hard, that’s why they don’t last. Really? Where’s the sustainability in that? Others on the market including the most expensive well known one, boast of lasting 15-20 years. However, what we were offered by their UK distributor Verana is 20% off a new tap. It was the first thing he said, like he knows they are rubbish and this is what they do. Insulting, NO THANK YOU! You get what you pay for I guess and if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. ** DO NOT BUY A HANSTROM TAP FROM VERANA **
