I issue this retraction to address statements I previously published regarding 1 800 Hanson. My original comments expressed my own perspective on my experiences and were not intended to harm the company’s reputation.it is important to know that my intention was not intended to defame or harm Hansons, my feedback was intended to share my experience which align with similar concerns raised publically by others. However to avoid further complications and distractions I have chosen to retract my previous statements. My initial comments were based on my personal experience and understanding of the situation at the time. Upon further consideration and interest of fairness, I acknowledge that certain aspects of my statements may have been inaccurate. Specifically I retract my review and I would like to issue a formal correction regarding wording on statements “ pushy, lied, abusive or promises not honored or fraud” this were my personal opinions and interpretations and feelings at the moment specially some based on true events,that are protected by free speech laws. My intent was to share my genuine experience and inform like other consumers having the same experiences, not to harm Hansons maliciously.Since then Hansons and my business relationship with them are in the right direction and they work hard to continue to maintain their reputation.

They are sending mail to my new construction addressed to relatives who live out of state. When I called to ask about marketing the lady said they don't send mailers, when I clearly had one in my hand, so then she clarified that "her department" doesn't send mailers which seems like a bad cover-up.

I've had an ongoing issue with Hansen's regarding a couple of their Windows they installed in my house. I replaced most of my windows with Hanson Windows and one window in particular I've had several problems with over the years. They send a repairman here and he never seems to have the right parts. They say they will call me with a new scheduled appointment and they never call. I have to call them back. This is been going on for over a year. Quite frankly I do not recommend Hanson Windows. Their repair staff does not seem to be efficient at the parts that need to be ordered to be able to make the proper repairs. I've had the repairman out here several times for the past couple years. Like I said no one ever calls me back but yet I keep calling them and getting the runaround.

It would be 0 if I could. I purchased the windows for the lifetime warranty, but it's not worth it. The installers they hire are incompetent. They cut my siding back to far and removed insulation board. They replaced the siding with thin tin trim and in the middle of winter I have a massive amount of cold air coming in doubling my heating bill. So when in warms up I am going to have to fix the windows for next winter.

Got new windows a little over 3 years ago. Strike #1 - I was given an install date of July and they never came out November. Strike #2 - They were 1 screen short for my upstairs windows. I was told they would be by the following week, it never happened. Strike #3 - Windows don't lock properly Strike #4 - My home is very breezy... worse than it was before the install. Strike #5 - The one bedroom window doesn't close all the way and it's January! Strike #6 - My heating bill is is much higher because these windows do not work properly. Yet, they told me I wouldn't be able to hear what was going on outside. There is absolutely no betterment of my home. Hanson Windows, in my opinion, are the worst. Strike #7 - They advertise that they're open 24/7. Not at all true. Disgusting

Hanson installers failed to notify us that installer broke the furnace exhaust pipe causing carbon monoxide to accumulate in our basement. In addition, Hansons refused to pay for the damages caused by there employees. During this project and subsequent warranty work, Hanson routinely failed to arrive on-site multiple times. In addition, Hansons is not addressing our specific warranty claims. Lastly, Hansons did not clean up the site upon completion of installation. As a result I had to spend numerous days picking up nails, siding, plastic wrap, and styrofoam.

Had a roof put on about 6 years ago. Had hail damage that was not covered by warranty. Took bids and had another company replace the roof. New roofer found the vents did not have cut outs and all vent fans (two bathrooms and a range) were not reinstalled. Contacted the company and was told they would not pay for the needed repairs because we voided the contract and the the work was not done by them. Who would want work done by the incompetent company that did it in the first place.

It's been over 12 months and Hansons' window project at our house is still incomplete. We asked them to replace 6 windows and the physical project started Oct 2023. Working with them has been one of the worst and most expensive experiences to date! After more than 10 visits to re-do, repair their work and/or replace parts...and after chasing them immeasurable times via phone and email, we're now down to one window still not locking. Tech Ryan lied to his manager that the work was done during this latest visit to our home 10/22/24. After working at our home for about 3 hours, he angrily pushed his way in front of us which forced one of us into a closed in area by the window only to see that the window truly still did NOT lock. He further acted in hostility toward us by raising his voice about the number of times he's been to our house and the drive he had on his return home, although the windows not working have nothing to do with us as a customer AND we're the ones who have had to take time off work to accommodate their long visits times over the past 12 months. He snarkily said that the sash would have to be replaced AGAIN. He then hastily grabbed all his equipment, stormed down the stairs, hitting our walls along the way and slammed our front door as he left. After this hostile engagement and still no project completion, he had the audacity to lie to his manager that the job was done and proclaim some sort of physical altercation. That is absurd especially since he was hostile towards us. We had no reason to be mad at him, he is an employee-not company owner. That false claim only adds more insult to injury. Who treats customers this way, especially after over 12 months on a project that should be one and done?! This is a very expensive job, not only due to Hanson's price but also the lost money in lost work time on our end. We've reached out to customerfeedback@ and Service@... many times for over a year. This project is still not complete.
