I ended up getting the wrong size and the customer support was absolutely fantastic at helping me through process and was super professional and friendly and I love the blinds as nightshift worker on a budget this is definitely a game changer.

when i first saw the ad for the blinds i was skeptical but i thought i had nothing to lose because of the return policy. so i took a shot and ordered. all i can say is there life changing i work nights and was only getting about 4 good hours of sleep a day now i sleep almost a full 8 hours. these were the best purchases i have in a very long time

The blind is easy to put together and works well. I would have given 5 stars if I would have been given the correctly measured blind. Instead, I've been given thicker trim to put around the metal frame. Now I have more work to do and it still might not make it fit correctly. Plus, the ceiling fan drew the blind out of the window area which creased the blind. Not the best experience so far.

The sun comes up straight into our bedroom window. We had a set of total blackout curtains over a set of closed blinds and the room would still light up every morning. The house is old and the windows not standard sized. The halo blind is a surprisingly simple design that is customizable to your window. The view from the window is unobstructed when the blind is open and it blends so well into the window trim that it is barely noticeable. The fit is perfect. The team at Halo contacted us to ensure the measurements were correct and to walk through the measuring process. It's nice to work with a company that offers such excellent customer service. International delivery is a little slow but the blind is so worth the wait. I've already recommended Halo to friends.

Excellent service from HaloBlinds – highly recommended! I purchased a Halo blind for my disabled child’s room and couldn’t be happier with both the blind and, most importantly, the customer service I received. Unfortunately, I made an error when taking the measurements and the blind was undersized — completely my fault. I was expecting the situation to be difficult to resolve, but HaloBlinds were absolutely fantastic. They were understanding, helpful and went above and beyond to find a solution and resolve the issue for me. It’s so refreshing to deal with a company that genuinely cares about its customers. The whole process was handled professionally, kindly and without making me feel at fault for my mistake. The blind itself is lovely and is a great addition to my child’s room. I had a really hard time finding a blackout shade that would retract sideways (versus up and down) for a large bedroom window at a price we would even remotely consider. I was so glad to find the Halo product that would allow me to customize it to the size I needed. The Pros: Definitely helps to darken the room for sleeping! Communication with Halo was consistent and clear. I had a question I wanted answered before attempting assembly/installation, so I emailed them. I received a response within a few hours! Price was a DEFINITE factor - this custom-sized shade was significantly less "spendy" than anything else I had researched. Seriously, it came through at about 1/5th the cost that we were quoted from local providers, and that was only after having most of those tell us they couldn't do horizontal shades at all. The Cons: This may be on me, or could be the window niche edges being uneven...who knows? We measured multiple times, but the final fit looks like I could have gone 1/16th to even 1/8th inch larger all the way around. We have definite gaps around the edges. I'll be getting "edge light blocking" strips to put up that should take care of that. Halo does have a "free fit guarantee" in which they say they'll send a new shade, but we don't really feel that we need to go that route. Because of the gaps, the fit is also a bit loose. I woke one morning to a top corner falling. I may remove it and add some additional strips of weatherstripping to tighten it up, or the light blocking strips we're going to add may also help to hold the shade in place. We were also considering these for a couple of skylights in the same bedroom, but I'm hesitant unless we can determine a good way to keep this one in place. Loose fit in a window is workable, but definitely wouldn't want to worry about falling from a skylight. I was disappointed to see that the product shipped from China. The website indicates worldwide shipping, but looking back at it, nothing says from where. Shipping took about 3 weeks. Assembly was definitely not as easy as their video makes it seem. I had a VERY hard time getting the corners to fit together. There were some colorful words used. That's a primary reason we aren't pursuing a replacement. Overall - I would absolutely recommend the shade and the Halo company, and would definitely order again if we decide to do the same in other windows. Blackout performance is excellent and the cost certainly can't be beat.

Measuring and ordering was very simple. Packages arrived in good shape, the blinds themselves were easy to assemble and install. Had them a few weeks now and my wife and I both love them.
