Delivery took a bit longer than mentioned but delivered without any product issues. Product fits perfectly into the window as promoted.

My baby is a very light sleeper and sunlight creeping around our old blind was becoming a problem for daytime naps. Since changing it, the nursery is noticeably darker even when the sun is directly on that side of the house. I also appreciate that it doesn’t look like a temporary blackout solution. It just looks like part of the window.

My only complaint is the very top isnt sealed tight so it let's a little light in, however, they are 100% better than any curtain I've ever owned. Easy assembley, and the product looks good too.

When we first started installing the blinds, we had a moment of panic. We have a long window, and the top and bottom rails come in two pieces, which you need to screw together - a fact that was not mentioned in the instructions and which we had to figure out for ourselves. The blinds were a little harder to click together than the instructions suggest, but we managed fairly quickly. The long rail bows at the top and there are some glimmers of light around the edges, but generally, for the price, and ease of installation, we are happy with the blind.

I had a really hard time finding a blackout shade that would retract sideways (versus up and down) for a large bedroom window at a price we would even remotely consider. I was so glad to find the Halo product that would allow me to customize it to the size I needed. The Pros: Definitely helps to darken the room for sleeping! Communication with Halo was consistent and clear. I had a question I wanted answered before attempting assembly/installation, so I emailed them. I received a response within a few hours! Price was a DEFINITE factor - this custom-sized shade was significantly less "spendy" than anything else I had researched. Seriously, it came through at about 1/5th the cost that we were quoted from local providers, and that was only after having most of those tell us they couldn't do horizontal shades at all. The Cons: This may be on me, or could be the window niche edges being uneven...who knows? We measured multiple times, but the final fit looks like I could have gone 1/16th to even 1/8th inch larger all the way around. We have definite gaps around the edges. I'll be getting "edge light blocking" strips to put up that should take care of that. Halo does have a "free fit guarantee" in which they say they'll send a new shade, but we don't really feel that we need to go that route. Because of the gaps, the fit is also a bit loose. I woke one morning to a top corner falling. I may remove it and add some additional strips of weatherstripping to tighten it up, or the light blocking strips we're going to add may also help to hold the shade in place. We were also considering these for a couple of skylights in the same bedroom, but I'm hesitant unless we can determine a good way to keep this one in place. Loose fit in a window is workable, but definitely wouldn't want to worry about falling from a skylight. I was disappointed to see that the product shipped from China. The website indicates worldwide shipping, but looking back at it, nothing says from where. Shipping took about 3 weeks. Assembly was definitely not as easy as their video makes it seem. I had a VERY hard time getting the corners to fit together. There were some colorful words used. That's a primary reason we aren't pursuing a replacement. Overall - I would absolutely recommend the shade and the Halo company, and would definitely order again if we decide to do the same in other windows. Blackout performance is excellent and the cost certainly can't be beat.

Great blinds!! They install super easy and I love the functionality of the blinds where they simply slide to open and close. I would recommend them to anyone. The reason for the 4 stars is because they don't block out the light 100% like their videos show. There is still slight gaps on some edges where their seal doesn't cover entirely, but then other areas are very snug and secure. If your window frame was 100% symmetrical all around then it would be fine. Also, there is still some light bleeding on edges of the blinds. It still blocks out a ton of light and I would still recommend, but it's just not 100% pitch black.

I have atatched my original review. Halo blinds reached out and was helpful in rectifying my issue. Whilst they did respond it took some time in resolving the issue. "Ordering process was relatively straight forward. I was asked to send photos and check dimensions after ordering which was only mildly annoying. A request for the photos at time of ordering would have been preferable. The delivery schedule was poor and was delivered long after the originally posted date. This was really frustrating as I had arranged other elements of work at home and was delayed. The product is pretty good. It arrived with minor damages to the white enamel/powder coat/paint on the frame. I didn't raise this issue with them, although I did take photos during the unboxing. The loss of stars is for poor communication regarding delays. Minor damages to the product and a seemingly mismatch between the grade/quality of material and its intended use. A quick email and I would have had the information to not be put out by the delay and would likely have scored them one star more. A quick quality control check before packaging would have shown the scuffs/damage to the product which could only have happened in their warehouse as the product was really well wrapped and i was impressed with this. The measurements were perfect, I could not fault them. I do however have quite a wide span on one of my windows and the blind sags in the middle, revealing light in this low point. This is meantioned above in the deduction for the mismatch of rail strength / quality for its intended use. I need more blinds for my back bedrooms but I will likely try a competitors offering to see if i can get a better experience. Overall I do recommend the company. For the price it is a good product. Be aware, the blind does not block 100% of light, more like 99.5%. there is a small bleeding of light ingress from within the blinds/track. The outside is sealed and blackout." I worked with them for a solution to the problem, which has resulted in the blinds now fitting seamlessly into the opening. The very wide span of one of the blinds was dipping and I have rectified this with a magnet adhered to each surface which pulled the blind back up and eliminated the dip in the center. Overall my experience was a positive one. A bit more drawn out that I would have liked however in the world we live today I feel as though none of us have enough patience. I revised my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. 👍🏻

They fit well and keep out most of the light, the fit is not as perfect as they look in the advert, but the team have been very helpful at rectifying it, so cant really fault. 4 Stars as not perfect on day 1.
