I ordered the product which was delivered promptly. I started using the product straight away but it seemed to irritate my scalp. I sent the following message via Instagram 'Good morning. I received my first order earlier this week. Unfortunately the product didn't suit my scalp at all and caused quite a bit of irritation. Is this normal, should I persevere or cease using the product?' No response unfortunately. It's only been a couple of hours but that's a long time when you're not sure how to proceed. I will update if/when I receive a response.

One year
One year, over $5,000 spent, and a deeply disappointing experience.
I wish I had gone straight to a dermatologist instead of spending a year and over $5,000 with HairClub. My experience was nothing like what I expected after the initial consultation.
Before joining, I had been using minoxidil in Germany, and it had worked very well for me. After moving to the US, I stopped using it and noticed some thinning. I went to HairClub hoping to find a better long-term solution.
The initial consultation felt more like a sales pitch than a medical assessment. I was shown pictures of my scalp, warned about potential hair loss, and told that their program could help stop the thinning and restore the hair I had lost. I was also given the impression that I would use their treatment for a year and then receive guidance on maintaining my results with alternative products.
Instead, I ended up using minoxidil again, alongside their topical treatment. I also paid around $300 for a DNA test, although I never received a clear explanation that justified the additional expense in my case.
Throughout the entire year, I never personally met a doctor at the clinic. My follow-up consultations involved speaking with someone remotely through a laptop, while the in-person services included treatments such as scalp massages. After completing the program, I was told that I would need to continue using minoxidil for the rest of my life to maintain my hair.
The most disappointing part is the outcome. My October 2025 and October 2026 scalp reports show no measured density difference between the control and thinning areas in either assessment. More concerning, the reported average hair width in the thinning area fell from 62.12 μm to 29.07 μm. These measurements do not tell the whole story, but they certainly don’t provide the convincing evidence of improvement I had hoped to see.
Looking back, I wish I had consulted a dermatologist from the beginning. I could have received a proper medical evaluation and discussed evidence-based treatment options without committing thousands of dollars to a program whose value I ultimately questioned.
This isn’t just about the money. It’s about transparency, expectations, and trust. Customers deserve to understand what they’re paying for, what results are realistically achievable, which treatments require long-term use, and what additional costs they may face before signing up.
I genuinely regret spending a year on this program without the results I expected. If you’re experiencing hair thinning, I strongly recommend getting an independent dermatologist’s opinion before committing to an expensive treatment package. Ask detailed questions, get realistic expectations in writing, and carefully evaluate what you’re actually paying for.
I hope this review helps someone make a more informed decision than I did.

My Experience with HairClub Rx
I spent approximately $3,000 on HairClub RX because the main selling point was a six-month treatment personalized to my DNA. My primary concern was significant thinning along my edges.
After my DNA testing, I learned that one of the ingredients identified for my treatment could not be included because of an age-related safety restriction. I understand the safety issue, but I wish I had known upfront that restrictions like this could prevent me from receiving part of the treatment matched to my DNA.
I also found the cancellation window frustrating. I did not receive the DNA results that determined my actual treatment until after the period in which I could have simply backed out. By the time I learned about the restriction affecting my treatment, I was already committed to the program.
The person who evaluated my hair, explained the program, and sold it to me was not meaningfully involved afterward. I received periodic scalp scans and technical reports, but very little useful explanation of what the numbers meant, whether my treatment was working, or what should change.
My concern was specifically my edges, yet the reports used labels such as “Middle Right” and “Center Middle,” and I never felt confident that the areas I came in to treat were being clearly tracked.
At the end of six months, I saw no meaningful improvement in my edges and was given a final comparison report without anyone really explaining what it meant, why I had not responded as hoped, or what my next step should be.
I understand that hair-loss treatments cannot guarantee results. My disappointment is with the overall experience: for a premium, DNA-driven program at this price point, I expected much more transparency, knowledgeable interpretation, monitoring, and follow-through.

COMPLETE SCAM !!
COMPLETE SCAM !!! SAVE YOUR MONEY !!!
Talked into spending $4k stating they were going to make a "special lotion based on my wifes DNA test". It takes WEEKS to get the results back from the DNA test and all it stated was take 1mg of Minoxidil when she has been on 2.5 mg for years! They offer a 10 DAY REFUND Policy but what good does that do when the test takes over 2 weeks to get back??!!
They said we're sorry we can't do more and said she is past her refund window!
TRUST ME!!! DO NO GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!!!

If i can give them half of 1 star I…
If i can give them half of 1 star I will gladly give it. They are very deceitful, they don’t deliver good job. They use fake hair to cover your alopecia instead of providing solutions to grow your own hair. They make you look beautiful one day the next day your worse. They fix on me hair rejected by a client and asked me to 1500 for the real one i paid for. I paid 6000 for six months treatment but got nothing. My hair looks worse than when i took myself there. No one should go to hair club Dallas otherwise SORRY WILL BE YOUR NAME.

DONT DO IT
DONT DO IT! Everyone knows that Minoxidil is a very temporary solution to hair loss. Stop taking it and you lose everything that you gained. I SPECIFICALLY said I wasn’t interested in Minoxidal during the consultation. I went ahead and signed the contract went ahead with the DNA testing to determine the best Rx for my specific hair loss. Of course the DNA results aren’t ready during the cancellation period. I returned to the office 23 days later (first available appointment). Guess what? The main ingredient is Minoxidil in my “custom” formula!!! Go to your local CVS and save THOUSANDS! I expressed my concern to the nurse practitioner who was useless. What a joke! Save your time and money!

Customer service is a joke
Customer service is a joke! They ignore your emails and or phone calls. I have been waiting for over 3 months for replacement hair, which is absolutely ludicrous! Calls to corporate go unanswered and the local salon is rapidly loosing customer due to their ineptness!

Do not go to the one in Bedford
Do not go to the one in Bedford. EVERYTIME I go in, we’re interrupted at least two times by other employees who need stuff/ have no training. Unless you want an incredibly basic hairstyle, you will never get the hairstyle you want without having someone you know supervise them. If you try to work with them, they gaslight you. 100000% amateur hour and more like a hairdressing school where you get discounted service rather than a $500 + experience. Also, the place is falling apart. The piece of wood that connects with my back during shampooing that has been there forever is chalked full of hair and bacteria, always kinda worried that something has planted eggs in there... Avoid!!!
