Don’t waste time with Facebook customer service — go here first!
Two days before we were going to breed our dog (we breed puppies for service animals and for classroom therapy), my personal and small business pages were hacked on Facebook. The hackers were from another country - and tried to use our account to scam people. We wasted valuable time trying to reach out to Facebook to address this. My husband got the word out, and dozens of friends also reached out to Facebook. Eventually, I was able to upload a copy of my drivers license … which accomplished absolutely nothing. The computer generated emails I received from Facebook were not only in Vietnamese, they were also emailed to the hackers. Furthermore, we were bombarded with posts from other scammers, asking us to trust them to get our accounts back. In desperation, I contacted HACKED.COM yesterday. I read their positive reviews on Trust Pilot, and although I had very little hope that I could get my account back (the hackers were VERY experienced and thorough) and I was terrified that I was falling for yet another scam, my desperation won out over my fear. Today we had a Zoom meeting with Christian from Hacked.Com. He was wonderful! He was knowledgeable and empathetic. He was also creative, in finding the many ways the hackers had embedded themselves in my account. He was determined to not only get our accounts back, but to ensure that there wasn’t the smallest breadcrumb left that the hackers could use to reclaim our accounts. But most importantly — he was successful! We regained control of our accounts — he also got us set up with a third party app to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. I cannot say enough about Christian! If he is indicative of the type of people that Hacked.com employs, then you will be in wonderful hands during a very stressful time! We would have saved ourselves, a lot of grief and stress if we would only have reached out to him immediately. We are in our 60s - and I’m sure that many of you reading this are not surprised to find out that Facebook (while a great way to keep in touch with friends and family) is just… STAGGERINGLY incompetent when it comes to customer service. We were completely unaware of this. We thought any company that survived for nearly 20 years, had steps in place. However, — the point of this is not to take Facebook to task, but to get the word out to anybody in this situation to please not waste any time trying to reach out to Facebook to fix this problem. The faster you reach out to Hacked.com, the faster, you will be back online and in touch with your friends and family!
