Contacted Guardsman
Contacted Guardsman. Sent a photo of a rust stain on my leather ottoman. Their agent came and said they couldn’t fix it, did nothing and charged us $65 for the call. I went on line and figured out how to fix it myself.

Filed two claims on office furniture, one was a water ring and one was a scratch on the top of the desk, bit declined. Reporting them to the better business bureau.

Purchased a 7K couch from Haverty's and purchased this useless warranty from Crapsman. Filled out the online service request with pictures because of a little wine stain on white leather. 2 months later they denied it because I described it in the service request as a "scuff". I called back and told them it's a stain not a scuff. The rude agent told me since I described it as a scuff they wont be able to help us. Unbelievable! Don't waste your money with these guys. Their customer service is very rude and won't work with you at all.

Wish I could choose a negative star. I purchased a sofa and love seat from Jag’s Furniture (Jag’s Furniture is helping me at this point) that I paid approx $4,000$ for (Including tax) and it is falling apart at the seams and it is two years old. I purchased the warranty when I bought the furnitures because sales man said it would be covered if it falls apart, it’s covered if your dog tears it! After Guardsman sent out a service man to see if he could repair it, his report said he can’t repair it and Guardsman said that is normal wear and tear so it’s not covered. I would not recommend them. It’s not normal wear and tear you can see it is coming apart at the stitching on the seams.

Terrible company. Rude. Customer service rep (Gilbert) asked us to explain our damage sofa and took one of our words out of context and immediately denied our claim. He would not let us explain what we were trying to describe as we didn’t fully understand what he was asking as we are also seniors. He did not even try to help us in our description. People like him have no business being customer reps if they can’t be nice or helpful. We asked if they could send someone out to look at it to make a determination and he said no and then he hung up on us as soon as we started to ask more questions. Total scam. Don’t waist your money or time. If I could have given zero stars I would have. Purchased plan from Haverty’s so beware.

Waste of money. Be careful I spilt something on my sofa the technician came but couldn't get the stain out. Was offered 2 new cushion covers no guarantee they will match or £34.00 compensation. They must be making a fortune!!

We purchased our dining room, living room, and the family room furniture sets from Furnitureland South with the Gold Protection plan. We had a fabric damage with our Jean Louis Denoit, Celestite, Baker Sofa, and reported fabric damage claim with Guardsman, their insurance provider. They said the claim is not eligible for service and is not covered by the plan. It was a very disappointing experience. I wish, did not purchase the Guardsman Gold Protection plan that was supposed to cover any damage including the accidental damages. It is worthless.

NEVER AGAIN I purchased my couch from NFM when I moved to Texas because I had heard that they were a reputable and customer service-oriented company. When I purchased my nearly $2k couch, I was told by their salesperson that I should also purchase the Guardsman extended warranty. She said it would protect me and cover my couch with everything "including a rip in my cushion". About 2 1/2 months ago, I discovered that the fabric on one of my couch cushions was fraying. I immediately contacted the Guardsman and followed all of their specifications on how to file a claim. Only to be told that the rip in my cushion was a defect in the fabric and that they would not cover it or send anyone out to repair it. I figured since I was told it was a defect and the sticker on the couch cushion said it was manufactured for NFM, I should contact them. When I contacted the NFM customer service department, I was told that since I had purchased my couch over a year ago, there would be nothing that they could do for me. I live alone and am very careful with my things. I feel that NFM could at least have offered to send someone to take a look at my couch and see if they could repair it. I will NEVER buy anything else from Nebraska Furniture Mart nor purchase an extended warranty from Guardsman and will make sure to let everyone know what happened to me.
