Good experience with Grow
I had a mainly positive experience with Grow. They have a quick interview, onboarding, and training process. The company cares about the providers and clients.

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. As a provider, I really appreciate the Grow Therapy culture. I'm able to make my own schedule, they completed insurance credentialing on my behalf and submit all bills to insurance companies. There is also a great "Community" of providers.

Grow therapy provides the opportunity for therapists to build their private practice while managing the billing and booking of clients and I get to do what I love, therapy! A therapist's dream come true. I like how easy it is to navigate the various platforms they use even though initially, it seems a bit confusing. Grow is very responsive to inquiries and gets back right away with an answer and makes sure they addressed your concerns. Their entire staff is so pleasant and sweet and seems to enjoy what they do and are supportive of everyone. They have many get togethers, virtual, to support clinicians in all aspects to ensure a successful outcome.

Overall working for Grow has been exactly the switch I was looking for after working inpatient for the last four years. The interview process was incredibly quick and the onboarding process wasn't too bad. I've been onboarded since early Jan with the first few insurances and I'm almost at a caseload of 20 clients. The platform is very user-friendly and there are lots of tutorial videos for basically anything you'd need to do. They also pay for a Psychology Today profile for you which has brought in some clients in addition to the insurance referrals. The community is very supportive with therapists/counselors/NPs/MDs all willing to be helpful when questions arise. I'm very happy with my decision to switch to outpatient and work at Grow and now I'm able to work completely around my schedule.
