working for grow as an independent contractor is pretty sweet so far, they are supportive. rates are not as competitive, they say they are lower because they offer marketing but even with that rates are low. this is a genuine experience but they also financially incentivize therapists to write reviews so do with that what you will...

I love that I can see the face of the person before I made a choice on who to go with. Not just by their credentials alone. The reason being, I'm gifted with abilities and as long as I can see someone's face, I know if they'll be a good fit for me or not. I chose mine and my husband's this way and my husband, who never shows emotion, actually cried in his FIRST session which was just the intake. That's how comfortable he felt with the person I showed him I thought would work for him. He never cries. It was so amazing to see he trusted her that much within just that one hour. I do like seeing the areas that each therapist is more localized in because it also helps to see what they focus on in therapy.

Grow Therapy is the perfect company for me at my stage of being in the counseling field for 20 years. I have the support of processing my insurance claims; Grow has connected me with a company that will take out my taxes, do my booking keeping, and support me in filing my year-end state and federal taxes as a 1099 contractor. I have the free to have 40 clients per week or 5 clients – I create my own schedule. The autonomy I have partnering with Grow Therapy is wonderful; it is truly a win/win for the clients I serve and me as a provider.
