Do not use this company if you have the wonderful benefit of EAP thru your employer! Every week I was charged (they asked for a card to be on file, which I happily provided). Each week I was charged, for 10 weeks! Each week I had to chase down my refund. Asked for a supervisor to call me, never received a call. Each week I requested my card to be removed and that didn’t happen. Finally I contacted my bank, and then I started getting reminders for not paying for my free sessions! Absolutely frustrating! Never had this experience before! My daughter enjoyed her therapist, I wish she was employed elsewhere!

I got in touch with the service chat so I could find a psychiatrist that would fit my price range, being that my deductible is high and I would be paying out of pocket. I chose a psychiatrist that charged only $100 per hour so I signed up. 2 weeks later my insurance gets a bill for $600 and passes $271 on to me. I've been trying to contact support but they have no phone support and chat support just ignores you. Really unpleasant experience, feels like I've been scammed. Update: 4 days after they said they emailed me they responded to me via chat (so like a week after I contacted them) and didn't do anything to help me get charged the rate I was promised. Ended up doing a chargeback through my credit card.

Signed up after seeing them being recommended in a subReddit. I wish I would have done more research first. I waited 10 minutes for the therapist to show and she never did. However, immediately it shows that I have a pending invoice. Tried to contact them but only found live chat that says they "typically respond within 1 day". Going to keep watch on my card and do a chargeback once it processes if I don't hear back from them. Very shady business, definitely STAY AWAY!!!!

***Don't use this service. Unfortunately, the new proliferation of remote/tele medicine providers in the mental health field has opened the door for a lot of very poor customer service and questionable business practices. Like several others here, my initial provider cancelled my appointment. However, she was courteous enough to do so a couple of days in advance, and she provided an explanation, saying that she's not licensed to prescribe ADHD medication. (They give you a pretty lengthy questionnaire prior to your appointment, so the providers are well aware of what you are seeking in treatment). She attached a list of other Grow Therapy providers who are licensed to prescribe ADHD meds in my state, which was nice of her. I selected one at random, and scheduled a new appointment with that provider. Morning of *that* appointment comes - I receive a cancellation notice. No explanation, nothing. Nothing saying anything like, hey, I am not able to prescribe ADHD medication either, nada. Just a cancellation. Being the over polite idiot that I am, I figured I better still be available at the scheduled appointment time anyway, since it was unclear why the appointment was cancelled just three hours prior. Provider shows up on the grow therapy video system about 5 or 10 minutes after start time, I ask her, why was the appointment cancelled at 6:30am this morning? She claims to have no idea....Ok....I'm now starting to feel suspicious. Then, she begins the appointment with what feels to be very drawn out questions, (that were all already listed on my patient profile. She had my medication history pulled up, so she clearly knew that my appointment was for ADHD medication treatment. Eventually, at just after the 15 minute mark, she tells me that she does not prescribe ADHD medication via telemedicine, and that in addition to coming into one of her offices, I would have to get an EKG done. At that point, I was like, right. I realized what was going on. The appointment was never intended for anything other than a visit billing. There was something fishy about the whole thing, the last minute cancelled appointment that no one could explain, the provider dragging out telling me she doesn't prescribe ADHD meds via telemedicine.. (I am sure they have be able to document the appointment engaging the patient for a minimum of 15 minutes in order to bill health insurance...) I didn't want to be too paranoid, until today - when I got a notice they tried to bill my card for $320, because "my insurance said I haven't met my deductible". And that they will try billing it again tomorrow. I am beyond pissed, both at Grow Therapy, and myself for being so stupid, and falling for this con. I should have realized when the second appointment was cancelled by them, that something isn't right here. I have mental health coverage, and like any sane person, I wouldn't have submitted my insurance for payment, if I thought I'd be paying over $300 out of pocket for a visit. And I most certainly am NOT going to pay it for a visit that was clearly done strictly to bilk me, w/no intention of providing any service! Unbelievable... Regardless of what you are seeking for mental health care, stay away from this service, I wish I had read the reviews first. :(

Avoid!! I didn't contact Grow Therapy or use their service but somehow they managed to charge me a recurring charge for $94.22. You can tell a business is shady when they don't have their business info or a phone number on their website. They only have an option to chat for support and their chatbot refers you to an email address, no phone number. I filed it as a fraudulent with my bank and contacted Grow Therapy through the email address. They asked for the last 4 of the credit card and asked if any of my friends or family would have used their service after they confirmed I hadn't. Like it would have been ok if someone besides me was getting my credit card charged for a recurring therapy charge. Based on the facebook reviews: 2.6 out of 5 with 23 reviews and yelp 1 star out of 5 for 13 reviews, I wouldn't count on any of the replies here to be more than damage control from a PR standpoint. Grow Therapy seems to be consistently have really bad service.

I’m leaving a comment to ask you to stop sending me referral emails to my gmail account. I’ve asked nicely several times and yet you continue. I filed a complaint with Kaiser and as I said to you I am now posting reviews on other website till you remove my email address and stop sending me referral emails when I’ve asked you kindly several times not to contact me. 04-03-23 - Grow therapy responded that they reached out to me via email to resolve this situation. I didn’t find any email from them. My reply to them is we are past talking you just need to remove my email address and stop sending me referral emails.

My therapist never showed up, not a good impression when it was the first time meeting with them online. I understand things happen but the least they could do is contact me via email and let me know.

Stay away from this company at all costs! They only care about one thing and that is taking your money. I am sickened by companies like this that are created to take advantage of people in their most desperate hour of need. Numerous people will comment time and time again how they have horrible customer service and just do not care about you. And that is because Grow Therapy is essentially a 3rd party company that connects therapists with patients, which works great for therapists who don't have to do any work finding clients, but works horribly for people that are in desperate need of help. Go find therapists on an individual basis and stay away from corporate companies like these that have no respect for people and are actually making this world a worse place to live in, while they line their pockets with your money. And I highly urge therapists that actually care about people, to stay away from companies like these. I am sure it makes it easier to find clents, but at the direct cost of actually helping people.
