We know that disruptions in care due to billing issues can be frustrating. In hopes of preventing disruptions due to outstanding balances, we have implemented a rolling cancellation approach to ensure that all scheduled appointments are not affected and have made it a priority for our system to never cancel sessions that are scheduled within 24 hours due to outstanding balances. We completely understand your concerns, and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. The referral process for individuals using Kaiser works a little differently that other payors on our platform. Due to fee exceptions these individuals are subjected to, we’ve implemented an optional policy for our providers use at their own discretion to determine if continuity of care with another provider is appropriate if they are unable to connect with the individual for their session on more than two occasions during a three month time period. Our goal is to prevent the disruption of appointment availability, and ensure that our providers are offering the best quality of service to those they serve. We understand the importance of these decisions and that each case could vary in circumstances, which is why we never take these situations lightly.
