I DO NOT RECOMMEND
saw a therapist who charged me twice for 1 visit, stated 1 charge for the visit, and 2nd charge was for treatment plan notes. My insurance counted this as 2 visits, not 1 since she does her notes on the next day, claiming "so we can focus on our session instead of me doing notes as we talk". When she told me, I thought, I don't care when you write your notes. It wasn't until I saw the charge. Next, Grow Therapy requires a debit card on file for "missed appointments", I didn't care about this because I don't miss appointments and assumed my bank account would be safe and not charged. Nope. They charged me $60, stating it's a co-insurance. I called my insurance to confirm that I do NOT have a co-insurance, I do NOT have a deductible, and I do NOT have a copay. My insurance told me the charges are still pending and may change once it's finalized so the amount they are telling me I owe could change. They don't wait until the insurance pays, they charge your card on file immediately. The reviews have been turned off/deleted on other platforms. They have a HORRIBLE rating on the BBB website for billing issues I'm not the only 1 being frauded. I plan to get the state attorney general involved with this. Providers looking for a mental health platform to use as their billing and CRM, avoid Grow Therapy - I will NEVER see a therapist who uses this platform, ever again. Everyone else, if a therapist only uses #GrowTherapy as their platform, RUN!! According to Google, they grossed $73 million in 2023, probably from fraudulent charges to debit cards and to insurance companies. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, you've been warned, find a mental health provider who uses something else. Ohh, yeah, there is no customer service phone number. The only way to talk to them is when you log into your dashboard, chat with a bot who then relays your message to someone who takes hours to ask you your name, date of birth, and phone number, only to take more hours to respond without an answer to your question hours later. This company sucks and needs to be closed. I'm so tired of these BS companies opening up without consequence in this country. This is insurance fraud at its finest. Mental health providers who use this platform, Grow Therapy, will see a decrease in their patients, guaranteed. My therapist told me she couldn't help me with any of this because Grow Therapy handles all billing - saf.
