Great Therapist! Terrible Platform
My therapist is terrific. Grow Therapy has the second WORST (Frontier Airlines being #1) customer support I've experienced.

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. Total scam. No way to cancel in the interface! I have to report them to my credit card because their support is non-existent and they keep charging me without any appointments scheduled!

My therapist is fantastic however it's a shame she switched to this platform because it's customer support is woefully lacking. Their billing is crazy. I wasn't charged a copay for 7 months now they decided to start charging me, letting me know they will be charging my card the next day. It's been so incredibly stressful, not knowing when they'd start charging me & how, limiting sessions because I didn't know how much,if any, I'd owe them. What kind of company runs their billing department in such a way to stress out clients, especially those seeking therapy?! They had my CC card on file from the beginning of January to the present but only starting charging me on Friday!

Thoroughly disgusted with how the billing department processes their bills. When one finally talks to a person, they have no power to do anything. We have Medicare and an excellent supplement that after Medicare deductible is paid, will pay 100% the amount Medicare does not pay. There is no place to put the supplement, when asked they said send the information to the therapist. The therapist then says don't bother me with billing I have nothing to do with it. Instead, they bill the credit card. Therapy is supposed to reduce stress, not increase it. Where are the owners of this company??? You are losing customers because of billing issues. That is just plain stupid!!!

I found a therapist through the SCAM that is Grow Therapy. I was quoted a $30.00 copay to become a client, so you can imagine my shock when my bank account reflected a $153 charge for our first "session". This wasn't even a full hour session it was a half hour intro session to see if it was a good fit. When I reached out to my insurance company, I was told the original charge was over $300 but they negotiated it down to the $153. I have since researched her and found her advertised charge is $120 a session (for an hour) so the absolute most I should've been charged is $60 for a half hour. Do not give this site your credit number because it is giving them a blank check. Grow Therapy and the theripist stole from me, not sure how that is heplful to mental health. My advice find someone through your promary care Dr.

I understand how billing works, I understand Copay. I don't understand how how Grow doesn't, and gives limited to no notice of when they are going to bill you. The notice I did receive was less than 24 hours, for a session in May (Its July). when I contacted support about their lack of notice they said "Unfortunately, we are not able to put a charge hold on your account, take payments up front, or set up any other payment arrangements at this time due to engineering restraints" "Yes Corrina and from my point of view 24h is not enough to notice clients about payments" (copied form chat) update: i am now $700 in debt because grow does not offer any notice more than 24hrs (not even 24 hours they send a notice at 10 am and withdraw at 6pm). these are bills from April, May and June. every couple days they are taking money from my account

The infrastructure for this company is very bad -- they have Chatbot support only, so if there is any question on insurance, forget it! If your problem doesn't fall into one of the seven defined items, you are stuck. My insurance company and my company benefit manager both tried to help me, but were stymied by the lack of human support. Even my therea pist (who I really like) has here hands tied. She can't get ahold of anyone in billing either. Maybe they just grew too big too fast.
