My Experience With Grow Therapy
Grow therapy has been helpful. I enjoy working with my psychiatrist.

Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress — connecting people with thousands of qualified therapists vetted across specialties, identities, and lived experiences, covered by insurance. We didn't begin with a theory about the market. We began with someone trying to help someone they loved, with the realization that when someone you care about needs mental health support, the system can feel cold, confusing, expensive, and built to wear people down. So we built something better to help people find care they can afford, stay with, and actually feel supported by — care that doesn't just work, but makes progress possible. We are not only for crisis. We are for all the moments when someone decides they want more: more support, more clarity, more tools. Because our goal isn't just to help people feel better — it's to help people achieve their goals in life. That starts with finding the right therapist, which is why we make it easy to search by specialty, language, cultural background, and identity, with care covered by insurance, appointments available in as little as 2 days, and most clients paying around $21 per session. Many pay $0, and self-pay and sliding scale options are also available. We are committed to a mental health experience that's easier to begin, more affordable to maintain, and grounded in trust — rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn't pause between sessions, and with Grow, support doesn't either. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, each one a step forward for someone, somewhere, building the life they've always wanted. With 220M lives covered, appointments offered virtually or in-person, including evenings and weekends, and clear cost estimates with no subscriptions to worry about, it's no surprise that 80%+ of Grow clients report feeling better after starting therapy. I like the notifications and reminders about appointments. I'm not overwhelmed by the amount of emails or texts that I receive.

My provider has made my experience great! I do have an issue with billing and communication timeline and method (only an available chat no phone or email), however I have been assigned a case and the follow-up is 30 days.

Overall this website is great. However, I've had technical difficulties in multiple sessions where there's an echo (on both laptop and phone). I'm not sure why that happens so often.

The therapist that I am currently working with is very helpful and easy to work with, the therapist looks like me and educates from a cultural and gender prospective. I have had therapy in the past and the therapist were of the same gender but the cultures were different and the idealisms were in different paths which felt like it was harder to relate. This provider understands the struggles because they look like me and understand the culture and idealisms that I am going through. The therapist picked up on my personality type and is walking me through my mental forest and it's helping a great deal. I feel like I am talking to an unbias friend the communication is cohesive.

So far, I think it's been helpful. I'm trying to keep an open mind and realize that there is no cure-all but I'm trying to do the work to address past trauma and I think the key is to actually do the work, which can be hard.

great experience!

Therapists discussed their treatment approach in their bio. This made the process of finding a therapist that would best match my needs so much easier than the traditional route of meeting in person only to find that the therapist style was not one that I needed.
