I found a good therapist on Grow and was looking forward to my 2nd session. When I tried to log in 15 minutes before my time, I couldn't. That was the right password, but I thought it was an easy fix; all I had to do was click "forgot my password," and they would send me a link to set a new password. They never did. I wasted all my time trying to contact someone for help and never got anyone. I called 2 different phone numbers I found, but the "She" robot couldn't help. "Contact us" led to an information page that didn't include my problem. Very Frustrating Experience!!! I knew my therapist was waiting. I tried everything. After about 40 minutes, I tried my password again, and it worked, but it was already way too late for my session. I will think twice before using a platform.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Original post and review from November 2025: I want to stress my therapist is not the issue. The billing and customer service is, however, appalling. After checking with my provider AND with Grow Therapy and assured by both that my appointments would be covered, I am, after 14 appointments, STILL trying to get this billing issue resolved. My insurance company assures me that I've given Grow Therapy the correct information but that they are coding information incorrectly. Grow Therapy continues to demand the same information, over and over and over and over again and still nothing is resolved! I have tried, repeatedly, to get some resolution. Today is thirty days from my most recent attempt. Finding a telephone number is not possible; you have to request a callback from them or deal with them in "chat," something that is incredibly frustrating. I finally found the form to fill out in order to request a callback, did so and scheduled an appointment. 10 minutes after that time came and went, I contacted them again asking for someone to PLEASE call. Person called saying she was sorry she hadn't yet called, saying she was still on her lunch break. When she couldn't solve anything, she said she was sending my information to the billing department where they would call me back "usually within 15 minutes". It's now nearly an hour. Still nothing. Most unprofessional bunch I've ever had to deal with. What terrifies me is that somewhere down the road the decision will be made that my therapy won't be covered at all, and I'll be holding the bag for thousands of dollars. The stress of this sure isn't great for someone already dealing with anxiety. I would say they're probably okay when you don't have a problem on the accounting end. But if you do, God help you, you're screwed. UPDATED: Today, February 23rd, I was billed for ALL of the past appointments that I was assured were NOT my responsibility as Grow Therapy erroneously told me my choice of therapist was covered. So, BIG hit to my credit today for 18 appointments. This group is a SCAM. Totally. Run, don't walk, away from Grow Therapy. Updated: March 18th, 2026. The issue is finally resolved, according to Grow Therapy's accounting department. But it's a sad thing that I had to become a raging b!tch in order to get ANY response or satisfaction from this group. I still am thrilled with the work I did with my therapist; she was never the issue. But the fact that it literally took eight months of non-responsive back-and-forth, having to escalate with each contact just to feel as though I was being heard, struggling with a VERY non-client-friendly platform and customer service model, incredible stress and frustration would still make me totally unwilling to recommend Grow Therapy to anybody. However, I would be remiss to not say that yes, it appears my problem is resolved (for now anyway, God knows what might come jumping out of the woodwork weeks from now!).

I truly enjoyed my sessions with my provider; however, my experience with Grow Therapy’s claims department has been extremely disappointing. They do not offer a direct phone line, so all communication must be done through messaging, which has made resolving billing issues very difficult. Aetna has requested information from Grow Therapy multiple times over several months and has yet to receive a response. The lack of timely communication and support has made this an incredibly frustrating and stressful process. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing billing issues and limited accessibility, I cannot recommend this platform.

Grow therapy getting 1 star. Because I can’t leave 0 Between November 24 and December 8, I was charged three times for what appears to be the same appointment. Specifically, I paid a total of $1,650 during this two-week period. The charge dated December 5 was supposed to cover the appointment from November, but it seems I was also charged separately for that same session. Additionally, when I had to pay $60 out-of-pocket, my doctor would not refill my medication until I paid, which adds to my concern about the billing process. They asked for additional information, but they owe me $60 keep giving me the runaround over a measly 60 bucks that they will not refund

If I could give a zero I would. Zero ability to help with insurance, WHICH IS THEIR JOB!!!! I think they lie to not answer your questions. I am advising therapist to not opt for Grow Therapy as a partner for your insurance billing. Not only does it take forever to speak to a live person, once you get that person they don't know anything about insurance. How is this even possible? For instance, they don't know how much United Health Care will pay for therapy. What? They gave a client a figure that she would pay, until she meets her deductible, higher than self pay rate! This makes no sense. These issues are over and over. Hours spent weekly on this mess. They will tell you it takes three months to get you pared with insurance providers. It has take 6 months and counting.

"providers respond within 1-2 days," is a complete & utter lie. i reached out to my therapist via the messaging portal on the app, where he's sent me messages before during our sessions, on December 11th, 2025. it is now February 18th, 2026, and i have heard NOTHING, unless you count the promotional, essentially spam emails from grow therapy that YOU CANT EVEN ACTUALLY REPLY TO. i swear i don't think these people are even real, i cannot possibly fathom how real life people can think and talk and exist the way these people claim to.

I am a veteran and the VA scheduled an appointment on Friday close to the end of the business day for me with Grow Therapy for 2/20/2026. Tell me why the therapist had my appointment cancelled by 830 am Saturday morning. She states that because she had not heard from me she cancelled my appointment. Ma’am first of all, I was not aware that I should be looking out for anything in my email for you at Grow Therapy. Second of all, the appointment was scheduled on Friday the 13th between the hours of 400-430 pm and you already had the appointment cancelled by Saturday the 14th at 830 am in the morning. That is not even a full 24hrs notice that would give me a chance to check my email to see any correspondence from you. Third of all, the appointment was on 2/20 at 2pm so you could have still given me some more time to get in contact with you. Finally, if you couldn’t reach me by email because I didn’t know to check for correspondence from you, why didn’t you pick up the phone and call me? Rude and disrespectful and dismissive af. This alone is enough to make me not even want to deal with Grow Therapy period! I have not even got my foot in the door with you all and already we off to a bad start. You canceled my appointment without giving me ample enough time to respond to you and then got the nerve to pawn me off on another therapist at Grow Therapy! GTFOH with that. Then sent a notice talking about how you straight forward. Well guess what boo? So am I! And you caught the wrong one. So how do you like my straight forwardness? Thank God I was not in any kind of distress because this would have sent me flying off the handle. This was so out of pocket that I refuse to deal with Grow Therapy period! I rather go elsewhere. Do more better and get your crap together! This is not how you handle things with people coming to you for therapy. Yeah I said it! Now what?!

While I love both of my therapist I dislike the way the portal is set up . It takes out double payments instead of at one at a time. If I have an appointment on the 10 and another on the 20 it takes 50.00 instead of 25.00 for each. I have great therapist one for marriage and another for personal and I may have to let them go because Grow Therapy doing what they want with my co-pays . I can’t get to my portal because it says contact support but how when I can’t get to my portal!!!
