worst experience possible - on purpose
This bad experience consumed 84 days, from July 26th (order date) to October 18th (dispute with cc company resolved). Good companies don't send out prefabricated e-mails telling you how great everything is going when they aren't actually completing your product. Good companies don't wait until you text them asking for a status update after the expected ship date, and then lie to you saying that there was a parts delay and that they will ship to you the next week. Good companies don't then stop responding to you, forcing you to notify them that you need them to ship the promised product, refund your money, or that you will dispute this with your purchasing credit card company. Good companies respond by shipping the promised product, refunding your money, or at least respond to your e-mail. Finally, good companies will acknowledge to the credit card company that they have failed to fulfill their promises and not ignore the credit card company, forcing you to wait an additional 1.5 months before your $5.5k is refunded to you. In short, good companies do not take your $5.5k and hold it hostage for as long as they can while ignoring their customers and legitimate disputes.
