Great Wolf Lodge Concord NC
We took our twin grandchildren, 10 years old, for a three day stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in COncord NC. All in all it was a great experience. The staff was great, all very friendly. Plenty of things for the kids to do, they spent most of the time in the indoor water park of course given the hot weather outside. There was staff all over and I feel that they were keeping a very good eye on things. Lifeguards rotated on a regular basis, and they were always attentive (eg, not on their phones!). The crowd was a mix of all kinds of folks, and everyone was well behaved and got along fine. Kids enjoyed the Magic Quest and the Arcade, as well as laser tag and virtual reality. Food was OK, nothing great but the breakfast buffet is well stocked with items including an omlette station. The food at the wood fired grill was a little disappointing especially for the cost. And it is expensive, just like everything else nowadays. But my wife and I felt it was a great trip for the money. So it would have been 5 stars but for the food and the cost. We stayed in a Wolf Den room, and it was perfect for us.
