The two most valuable things I have are my time and money. The Great Voice Company Boot Camp was the BEST investment of both! Susan and her staff were extremely helpful in instructing us in every area it takes to be a successful voice over actor. What made this weekend unique was that their professionalism was equally matched with a genuine desire to see each of us succeed and their ability to bond a group of strangers into life-long friends. I am so glad I made the investment and am excited for what's ahead!

Three days of voice acting enlightenment, not at all the typical bootcamp. The warm and caring group I had the pleasure of spending three days with had flown in and drove in from all over - Ohio, Texas, Atlanta, New Hampshire, New Jersey and right here in New York. Susan spent the entire three days with us and her tone was warm and honest as she shared her decades of experience; her team, Mark, Adriana and Chris showed unlimited passionate about their craft. My dealings with GVC dates back over 2 years; over that time I have also been working my "day job" - which I plan to phase out of as my VO career takes hold! I've trained with both Susan Berkley & Adriana Davis, thru the "4 Pillars" of VO and directing me thru my 2 demos. Both Susan & Adriana are attentive to your schedule & can work around most scheduling issues . I found that to be most helpful. The Boot Camp not only showed us how to perform Voice Overs but gave you the opportunity to practice and receive critiques from Susan Berkley and her staff of friendly, patient, and honest instructors. Then taught you how to Market yourself, an added Bonus. Great Place to learn the craft.

While The Great Voice Company has been an excellent source of training for me, and has helped me to have a very interesting and solid repertoire which was edited very well on the demo, the price, however, for the training program is quite steep, but it was worth it to work with the best. I wish, though, that considering how much money and time was spent, it would have been much better if the faculty would have also assisted in jump starting with a first job to help get the career going. Unfortunately, the Great Voice Company does not do this. Now I am in the process of further investing more, so hopefully will have a better chance at having a voiceover career. Realistically, there isn't any guarantee of getting anything accomplished. For one thing, no matter how much talent one has, to make a career one must have the proper connections as well as know people who are affiliated with the industry who will consistently help in guiding to the right jobs at the right time. So there's a lot to it. The Great Voice Company only gives what is the beginning of very good training for an expensive price. But it turns out this is not enough, because this will not really connect and help get the career going. The Great Voice Company is making money from the students who all had to sacrifice tremendously thinking they were all going to have careers in voice overs. Some probably spent all the money they had saved, because they were expecting to make a career upon completion of the training. Most of them did not realize they would have to continue investing more money and most likely still not make a career when all is done. My suggestion to anyone who is considering voiceover training and hoping for a career afterwards is to first have money to back you up before starting. In all good conscience, although I do recommend the training in The Great Voice Company, be aware that this training can be very pricey and also result in a long, frustrating process before you ever, if at all, make any money back that was hugely sacrificed for all of the above.
