Wow, what an experience. I ordered a Christmas tree and wound up sending it back the day after it was delivered. Getting the right amount refunded and in a timely manner was a huge hassle. The CSRs were fine, but it takes a long time to reach them, and like I said, getting the entire amount I was owed back was quite a challenge and took repeated calls and several weeks.

First time ordering from this company (GR). After I placed my order - I paid with an existing credit card - my LifeLock account quickly notified me that a credit check by Comenity/GR had been run through Equifax. I was suprised as I had not applied for a Grandin Road card. I immediately called GR to ask why - no coherant answer was given. I asked to speak to a Manager and was transferred to 'E'. She told me that they would investigate and call back. 3 days later and no callback. Luckily for me, Equifax did not process the inquiry.

I am giving this website two stars based on their merchandise only as they have a decent selection. However, I would not order from them. Their shipping costs are through the roof, you get Absolutely nailed on the shipping. Almost all online retailers offer some sort of shipping discounts, whether it’s free shipping if you spend over $100 or free shipping for a week, just something. Grandin road offers nothing. You pay a premium cost to ship based on how much you spend. The more you spend on merchandise the higher your shipping cost is so it’s not a matter of a heavy or bulk item. Just awful.
