My wife and I can not speak highly enough about Gorilla Safari Company's organization and arrangement of our recent trek in Rwanda. I reached out with my initial request for information and had a reply within 30 minutes. Over the course of the next week as I solidified my own availability I reached out to Gorilla Safari Company at least 5 times and each time I had a reply within a couple hours. One of those replies occurred around 4am! (as I was up late working) Everything promised was exactly as described. Our driver, Ismael was on time, courteous and a careful driver. He advocated for us on which trek to have and was pleasant company during the drive to and from Kigali. I am one of a couple other folks who have used Gorilla Safari Company and we all have had the exact same wonderful experience. Book here with confidence!

From start to finish, Donna and her team went above and beyond to make our trip to Rwanda the trip of a lifetime. We paid less than we would have by booking each activity and accommodation on our own, and had someone there to support us, answer any questions, and make last minute arrangements. What a fantastic trip Donna and her colleagues put together for me! From start to finish all went very smoothly and my lodgings at Villa Gorilla were perfect! It is not a luxury resort but has all you need and the staff and food and general effort everyone goes to is amazing and all that matters! Please remember you are not paying luxury prices and if you want that then you will need to pay $1000 per night! No need though - stay at Villa Gorilla and Gad and Gilbert amongst others will look after you. The actual trek was amazing and very well organised. From the start I felt very at home and at ease and the Apes were so chilled with us. We were literally 2m away from them all the time and although they were napping and eating it was still a magical time and a trip of a lifetime for me. I travelled alone and I was met at the airport by John who also dropped me back and this is all included. You must visit the Genocide museum first straight away I would suggest off the plane as although it is tough, it gives you a real insight into what happened and prepares you for the trip. Rwanda is by far the friendliest place I have ever visited and I have been many places. The recovery by the people in the last 20 years is nothing short of remarkable and is a must visit. You should make this visit with the help of Donna and her team and I guarantee you will be very well looked after! Thanks Donna! James Wilson

Dear Donna. I returned a week ago today and am still in the clouds from the extraordinary trip you put together for me! I have been singing your praises to all of my friends and encouraging them to consider a trip like this and to do it with you. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for all of the aspects of the trip. Jude, our guide, was wonderful. His knowledge, droll sense of humor, and consideration for the needs of our group were excellent. He went above and beyond the call of duty to track down missing luggage from three of our group when it hadn't shown up for several days (that was the only hitch - the courier service entrusted with getting the luggage to us really dropped the ball - but Jude solved it on his own). The accommodations were really lovely; the staff at Kasenyi and Mahogany Springs were the most kind, considerate, warm and friendly that I've encountered in the past few years that I've started "adventure travel." Kudos to them! I loved the chimpanzee habituation, was SO glad I'd booked two gorilla treks, and enjoyed Ngamba Island and the UWEC. The arrangements for all the activities and transitions to and from airports all went smoothly. As a woman traveling alone, I was most grateful for the attention you have paid to this. I also appreciated that, having changed my flight back to Entebbe from afternoon to morning, you or your company already arranged another activity for me for the afternoon - the wonderful behind the scenes visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center. I had wondered what I would do on my own that afternoon and this was a delightful treat. Your follow-up and follow through were most impressive. As you can see, I was thrilled with my trip! After sending emails to several safari companies, I got a PHONE CALL from Donna, in England! The other outfits wrote quick emails that only partially explained their services. Donna and I had great phone conversations in which she helped me decide just what we wanted to do on our trip, how we would do it, who would take care of us and how much it would cost. And she was right about everything she told me. We were picked up by Gilbert, owner of Villa Gorilla, and shown a great time at the Villa and on our treks. Gilbert even arranged for us to have the most asked-for guide, Francois, take us on each of our three gorilla treks! Gilbert's staff gave us five star treatment at a three star price. Villa Gorilla is homey and warm, not pretentious. Gilbert put his resources into making sure we were cared for and fed like royalty. Our drives with him around the country were like touring with a local friend. His arrangements for our monkey and gorilla trekking were the best possible. We ( a group of 9 friends) had an amazing experience with the gorilla safari company in Rwanda. We couldn't hope for a better weather and getting into the jungle and finding a group of 40 gorillas just in front of us was something incredible that cannot be described with words. The warmth of the people in such a beautiful Land just captivated us. Hoping to get there soon again!

A true once in a lifetime experience seeing the gorillas. Donna organized a great trip to Rwanda and it exceeded all my expectations. Highly recommend making the trip and using The Gorilla Safari Company to help organize it.

It is rare when you plan a trip and everything is PERFECT. Our trip to Uganda planned by Donna was excellent. She held our hand and even applied for our Uganda visas for us. She answered our many questions and always followed up on our requests immediately. Working with Donna is a reason to book with Gorilla Safari Company. We have traveled extensively and I have never had a travel agent that followed up so efficiently. She helped choose the right hotels and they were all wonderful. Each hotel was unique. Food was good. Our guide Jude was amazing.!!!!! He made the trip. He is very informative,took excellent care of us and has the eye to finds birds and animals. He is an excellent, careful driver. I would love to travel with him again. I would highly recommend Jude and Gorilla Safari. Sheila and Marty
