Donna organised for me a fantastic holiday. From the initial planning steps via email to actually being on holiday, I cannot find a single fault. emails were replied promptly and any questions answered in depth. All the accomodation was more than I could have ever imagined. Everything ran smoothly. All the drivers were very knowledgeable and knew their country so well. I cant rate this company enough,thanks to Donna and The Gorilla Safari Company

I have read all of the reviews (after I returned from my trip!) and there is nothing more to add. I booked with Gorilla Safari because of Donna. She was so responsive and scheduled a custom tour for me. People asked how I booked the tour. It was easy...I didn't shop around..I felt comfortable with Donna and knew she'd create a wonderful experience for me. Everything ran so smoothly. The lodges were fabulous and I can't say enough good things about the people we met. One lodge even through a surprise birthday party for me. I didn't even think they knew it was my birthday! I trekked gorillas 2 days and was glad Donna informed me of the appropriate dress. One guy showed up in Keds and no socks. This was a trip of a lifetime and I thank Donna and The Gorilla Safari for making it perfect.

Hi Donna, I have always planned our family vacations, as well as my recent international trips. This time I decided to turn over the planning to a few safari companies. Your company offered the best options at the best prices, and you listened to my requests more than your competitors. You worked quite diligently to cater the trip to our specific needs and planned a remarkable trip for us. I really want to thank you for putting together an excellent trip. The lodging was top notch, and the locations for those lodges was great. The tour was really amazing. And our tour guide, Jude, was way above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Jude is an excellent wildlife guide and was always on the lookout for something interesting to view. Frequently what he found for us was astounding. We saw leopards running through the scrub, the leopards in trees with kills were great. His ability to see things from great distances, such as lions with kills way off in the distance and seemingly hidden behind mounds or in the grass, is uncanny. And knowing that I am a bird watcher he was constantly finding great birds to show me. He was very interesting to talk and listen to as he told us about the history and cultures of the areas we passed through. He is also a very good driver, preferring a safe trip to a fast trip. He was always on the lookout to satisfy our requests, such as particular local foods that we all wanted. And he was always patient and friendly. We couldn't have done better for a guide. On one of our roads we came to a tree fallen across he road. Jude got out with a panga and chopped at branches until he cleared the road enough for us to pass. I took videos of him at work, going beyond the expected, and will forward those to you soon. Everything about the trip was beyond the expected. Thank you so much, Dennis

First and foremost, I would like to thank Donna Robbins for all of her help with setting up our tour and assisting with last minute changes. In all honesty, had I not spoken to her, I would not have visited Uganda. It was impossible to get good information and responses from other companies and she was on point from the get go. Uganda is beautiful and we would have missed out on some amazing memories had we not gone. As far as our driver (Jude) tour guides, hotels, staff, everyone--I had no issues and have nothing but great things to say about everyone. We had an amazing time trekking chimps--even though I got pushed by one of them :P once in a life time experience that's for sure. We hiked to the top of the mountain to see the gorillas, which I think added to the experience. We saw a total of 7 gorillas, including three babies. I can't say enough about how amazing it was. The zoo tour was also amazing, we were able to be up close and personal with lions, leopard, hyenas, giraffes, elephant, chimps. It was a great way to spend a day. We have been to about 30 countries, a ton of hotels and by far one of our favorites is Mahogany Springs. The scenery, the staff, food--outstanding! For those worried about safety, not once did I ever feel worried about something happening to us, even when we were by ourselves walking through the towns etc. My wife and I have been to over 30 countries, Uganda is amongst one of the best!

Hi Donna Just want to say a big thank you for arranging our trip, we just had the most heart warming time. The original reason for the trip was to see the gorillas and the treks up to see them did not disappoint it was amazing how close we were. The whole experience will stay with us forever, the game drives, the rhino sanctuary, the bird life, the boat trips, Murchison falls, Elephants, Hippos, Crocs, Lions, Leopard, Monkeys, Giraffes, the Chimps, Antelope and of course the Shoebill. However the people had just as much impact and left us feeling very humbled and lucky, in Bwindi we had a tour of the hospital, the work they are doing there is amazing and on your recommendation we met the Batwa tribe. Lynn gave out her t'shirts for the children and they were so pleased with them, followed by a visit to the orphanage, where 180 children sang and performed traditional dances just for us, it made us feel very privileged and I must say, was very emotional. The drives that took us through the villages had a big impact on us too, seeing how they thrive and go about there daily routines. Jude, our driver/guide was a perfect match for us, he played a big part in making our trip the best, we felt safe with his driving, he spotted so much wildlife which we would have missed and was just a nice man to spend 12 days with. There is so much more that I could mention and we have returned home with our heads and hearts full of the sights, sounds and people of Uganda so a big thanks to you for taking the time to listen to us and then creating a perfect itinary and a memorable trip. We booked our trip to Uganda with the Gorilla Safari Company who were so helpful - with everything from the planning of the itinerary and ensuring we got everything we wanted form our trip. As Donna had also been there she was also able to help with planning what to pack and take with us and some insight into what to expect and how to help the local communities best. We had a great trip and would highly recommend Uganda and the Gorilla Safari Company .

Wow. Donna and the Gorilla Safari Company worked a miracle. A scheduled trip to Madagascar expanded at the last minute to include a gorilla trek and Kenya safari that was not on the original agenda. With little time to pull any kind of trip together, Donna provided the dream trip of a lifetime at the most fantastic locations. Flights, transfers, lodges, guides were all impeccably timed and take us by the hand support was there every step of the way. This was quite literally a bucket list trip that came up late and needed to be stress free. I have traveled comfortably in Africa and to the gorillas before and I can say unequivocally that this is the most capable and professional travel organization I have ever experienced. My recommendation for the Gorilla Safari Company is made without a single reservation and I honestly believe there is no one who could have matched the service and concern we received from Donna. It is difficult to write this review because there really aren't words to express how flawlessly this trip was handled.

When we first approached The Gorilla Safari Company it was to organise a once in a lifetime trip not only to see the Gorilla’s, but to travel and immerse ourselves in the culture and beauty of Uganda. After going over our requirements Donna and the team came up with the perfect itinerary for us. Everything was in place when I dropped the bombshell that I had proposed to my fiancée. She even accepted!! Donna sprang into action to make this already amazing trip into the perfect honeymoon. Nothing was too much trouble. All the lodges were informed and alterations were made. We were treated like royalty. Every part of our trip was magical.
