The guide was at best average, little knowledge of the country, told us nothing of the country. Seemed very disorganized.

Amos is one of our most trusted and experienced guides and having grown up and lived in Uganda all his life is incredibly knowledgeable of both the country, the customs and the wildlife.
We have never before received anything but great feedback on him and in fact on the very tour that you were on the comments made to us personally and on Trustpilot were outstanding: "The best part of our holiday along with seeing the gorillas was our driver Amos who made the holiday so special with all his knowledge and he tried to fit in everything we asked for and little extra touches like buying the local fruits for us to try on route."
We hope that we get to speak soon, as it is such a shame and we are truly saddened that you were left with such a negative impression after a trip like this.

OUR LIFE LONG DREAM FAR EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS!
The Gorilla Safari Company was EXCEPTIONAL in making our dream of 40 years (viewing Mountain Gorillas) an experience of lifetime. A BIG thank you to Amanda for listening to us, meeting our needs and planning a trip that FAR EXCEEDED our dreams....it was truly magical in every detail!!! Every minute was an amazing experience!! Ismail, our guide, met us with a smile at the airport and ,instantly, made us feel special, safe and ready for our dream to come true! In his professional, kind, knowledgeable hands we journeyed through Uganda and Rwanda safely. At the end of the two week EPIC vacation Ismail became a member of our family! In addition to getting up close and personal with Mountain Gorillas our lives were enriched by communing with Chimps, Golden Monkeys, Hippos ( my personal favorite) Elephants, Rock Pythons, Bats, Lions, Wart Hogs, Kob, Cape Buffalo, Water Buck, and many beautiful exotic birds....the Crested Crane was phenomenal! ( I learned the names of the animals because Ismail is so knowledgeable about the species of both flora and fauna as well as the history, culture and legends of these magical countries.) The accommodations Amanda booked for us were beautiful, comfortable, classic and safe. The food was delicious and the service impeccable!!! I truly was spoiled, pampered and felt like royalty throughout the entire trip!
Leaving Ismail at the end of our magical journey brought a tear to my eye...it was like leaving one of my kids! We have already contacted Amanda to begin working on a sequel. We plan on returning in 2020 to explore and enjoy more that Africa has to offer which, I believe, is the biggest compliment to the Gorilla Safari Company, Amanda, and Ismail we can extend! And ,of course, Ismail MUST be our guide !!

Travelling as 2 sisters we had many reservations before our holiday and the Gorilla Safari Company (Donna and Amanda) was so helpful and patient with all our queries and never made us feel like a nuisance. Our trip was just perfect! The hotels picked for us and our budget were exceptional and everything was covered even the airport pick up was helpful as someone was waiting to escort us through customs. The best part of our holiday along with seeing the gorillas was our driver Amos who made the holiday so special with all his knowledge and he tried to fit in everything we asked for and little extra touches like buying the local fruits for us to try on route. We was a group of 6 ladies mostly in our golden years which you can imagine is a challenge for any guide but he survived and made our time in Uganda fun and a holiday never to forget. I had a magical trip in Rwanda
I had a magical trip in Rwanda, planned by Gorilla Safari! I trekked to see the Dian Fossey site, trekked to see the gorillas, and the final trek to see the Golden Monkeys. It was all quite wonderful! My stay at Villa Gorilla could not have been more pleasant - from breakfast on the terrace watching the sun come up over the volcanoes, to my vegetarian preferences being accommodated quite nicely, to my charming room where I spent four lovey nights. The suggestion to hire porters should be mandatory....they were invaluable to me on the treks. I am a single woman and I felt absolutely safe and well looked after my entire time in Rwanda. So a huge thank you to Villa Gorilla for making this trip a trip of a lifetime!

Great partners for planning a safari
Gorilla Safari Company was very helpful and candid in the planning process and our trip was fantastic. Their employees and partners were knowledgeable and friendly, the lodges were comfortable and clean with friendly staffs, and the variety and amount of animals we saw was amazing. We booked both gorilla safaris and game drives in Tanzania. They ensured this was a trip of a lifetime. I highly recommend using Gorilla Safari Company!
