My dog was suddenly paralyzed in his back legs after he herniated a disc in this spine. We rushed him to the hospital and he was diagnosed with Intervertebral disc disease. He needed an emergency neurological surgery. It was nice to not have to worry about the seven thousand dollars that the surgery would cost because we already had pet insurance. I was not expect to see any of that money again but Pet plan covered the WHOLE surgery. I received the reimbursement check in less than 30 days. They also called me to follow up and see how my dog was doing( he is now walking). I would HIGHLY recommend pet plan.

My Tinny (cat ) needed oral surgery recently. Naturally I was very concerned about the operation on my boy. Fortunately, I have carried PetPlan Gold for Tinny since 2008. I have utilized PetPlan coverage several times over the years for fairly expensive treatments, so I knew cost was their area of responsibility, leaving me free to concentrate solely on his treatment and recovery. Two days ago I received a check for more than $500, the correct amount contractually promised to the penny. As per usual, the processing of the claim went smoothly and quickly. ANY surgery is important and worrisome when your furry family member is the patient. KNOWING bills will be taken care of provides peace of mind during troubling times. PetPlan always comes through for my VERY important buddy.

I( just completed a written review on Petplan's site. Without rewriting the entire review, there are three checks coming in the mail to me totalling almost $2,000. My dog, Honey was one hour from death and had an undiagnosed condition of Addison's Disease. The bloodwork, IV, electrolytes, x rays etc. were incredibly expensive. I had faith that I was insured and had no reservation about doing whatever was recommended. In the past, with other insurance companies I have gotten screwed. Not Petplan...they came through. The customer service was excellent even at 11:45 pm on a Friday night when I had questions. People were ALWAYS pleasant and knowledgeable...and totally caring about my dog. I believe it is imperative for people who rescue animals to get insurance since they will predictably have more issues as they age...and it is important from my perspective to always do the right thing to the very end.

After many expenses I had with past pets I decided pet insurance is a must for all pet owners. I am so happy I decided, after research, to purchase Pet Plan policies for my two beagles. My experience with Petplan has exceeded any expectations I had. Not only do they pay the bills but they REALLY CARE ! Their customer service is what sets them apart, particularly one of their representatives Jessica who helped me through a very tragic event. My beagle Joy was suddenly paralyzed late one Sunday night. The way she looked at me broke my heart. We rushed her to the emergency clinic, where they did an MRI and discovered several ruptured disks in her back. The decision was to put her down or try to save her with surgery. Without Petplan the outcome would have been far different as the surgery was expensive. We had the surgery and with in two days Joy was moving her legs! This was her second back surgery in one year. Petplan had covered the first and my Silver Policy was running low on funds. I called Jessica at Petplan and she said I had the option to upgrade immediately to a Gold Plan. By doing that Joy's bills were completely covered. I don't know any other Company that would allow that when it would cost them money. Joy is my baby and because of that surgery she is walking and wagging her tail! Her prognosis is excellent. On that awful night my husband was also admitted to the hospital and it was a holiday weekend. Petplan even on the holiday was there to help us. That is what I mean by excellent Customer Service. If you are considering pet insurance purchase Petplan. It saved my dog's life! Any pet I ever have will be insured with Petplan!

I've used PetPlan for many years now. Mostly for routine care. Our Boxer got lethargic and later had fever of 105. After tests and lifesaving hospitalization we still haven't figured this out. Then our puppy jumped off a 6 foot wall after a friends dog! (Damn Stella) Two in the hospital at once and about $8,000 plus. Thankfully PetPlan has taken care of these bills. They never give me a problem and just send me the checks. I will NEVER be without! Oh, and the dogs are on the mend ;-)

If you’re undecided about pet insurance, you must have one or all of the following concerns: a) Will they reimburse me? b) What does it actually cover? c) Filing the claims must be a hassle, or d) I’m not sure it’s worth my money. I had the same concerns. After a lot of research, I went with Pet Plan after adopting an older beagle. He was recently diagnosed with several types of cancerous tumors, but with Pet Plan, I was able to get cancer treatment for my beloved dog and not worry about the financial implications. I received reimbursements from Pet Plan a few weeks after submitting the claims and there were no surprises about what they said they would cover. I am so grateful for Pet Plan pet insurance, their great customer service, and that they actually live up to their word. With a new pet insurance bill AB2056 coming down the pipeline to protect consumers, it’s nice to know that Pet Plan has been ahead of the pet insurance game this entire time.

When adopting a 10 week old abandoned puppy from a shelter, we were unsure what health conditions we would be faced with but knew we needed a dependable insurance. Unfortunately in the short year we have had our rescue, we had to use Pet Plan twice for emergency surgeries. In both cases, Pet Plan reimbursed us for the maximum amount per our policy in less than a month (the last one we received the check in less than 2 weeks). We did a lot of research prior to picking an insurance company for our rescue and know we made the best decision. It is hard enough being a pet parent, Pet Plan has allowed us to make the best decision without having to worry about the financial aspect. I recommend this insurance to all pet parents

I never had pet ins before and I recently bought a choc lab and thought it would be a good idea to buy a pet ins plan incase anything happens. So I researched a few different companies, and I am so happy I chose Pet Plan. Unfortunately my pup has to undergo bil elbow surg and I'm very greatful I had Pet Plan ins to cover the expenses.
