We have our little puppy covered through Pet Plan. He's been getting seizures and they have reimbursed everything. I put in a significant amount of research before purchasing through them and am glad I did buy Pet Plan. Although they don't direct bill there are a significant amount of other positive things with their product. Pros- manageable premiums and ability to chose deductible and reimbursement rates. They have covered expenses other plans don't (the consults with our Neurologist!!). Cons- they really could be faster with reimbursing, average has been a month, although the last two claims were processed in a week!

We almost lost our 16 month old flat coat retriever - the experience was crushing. after racking up thousands in vet bills, Pet Plan came through. Insurance is insurance, doesn't matter if its home, car or pet. you have to know what you're buying, what the rules are and how to submit your claims. I'm happy that this incident was covered or we would have seriously taken a financial hit or worse, might not have been able to afford to treat our family member. easy to submit, no hassle with the claim. payment processing and delivery could be faster, might impact people with higher claims, but other than that, glad i chose Pet Plan

Glad I have Petplan! They paid the hospital the remaining balance to the hospital and I was refunded in accordance to my plan. The claim halted several times because of missing documents and I wasn't contacted about those missing documents. However it was easy to follow up and send in the documents they needed.

Jordan provided excellent customer service. It wasn't her fault that it took a long time for the claim to be resolved but instead she promised to expedite it and within two days the problem was solved. She promised to follow up with me today and sure enough- she did it! Pet Plan definitely needs more excellent employees like her!

My 4 star rating is for Petplan insurance coverage. However, I would give customer service representative, Sara K, a 5 star rating! She really helped me to understand all the ins and outs for filing a claim. She is the reason for my continued coverage for our two goldens for another year. I was not going to pay for another year of coverage until I talked to her. I plan on asking for her anytime I need help. She truly is a great representative for Petplan!

I've been using PetPlan for a few years now. One of my dogs, Junior, never would have lived as long as he did if it weren't for them. He had severe medical problems almost his entire life and PetPlan has been there every step of the way covering pretty much everything. His final claim was entirely taken care of by Heather who went above and beyond to contact my vet and get the claim started and reviewed before I even had the time to process he was gone. It took such a huge load off of me for her to do that and I can't thank her enough. I've had my disappointments with them and some issues with poor communication and such but it's usually resolved. Overall they are pretty straightforward with coverage and don't have many hidden exclusions.

When looking for an affordable insurance plan for our trusty and reliable family member (the dog) Pet Plan was on of the first that we considered. Katee helped us to review rates and policies that would best meet the needs of our dog, while also staying within our budget. Just like any insurance plan, there are many different plans that can be tailored to meet the needs of your family's best friend. Katee emphasized to us the importance to us of ensuring that we have a plan in place before our dog becomes older and has health concerns that may be unexpected. We would definitely recommend Pet Plan to other pet owners who want to keep their pets healthy, and their wallets full.

We have been with Pet Plan for several years now. We have three pets that are insured and have had pets insured before the current ones. I have been dealing with Heather McAlea almost exclusively. We had a very serious incident happen to our 4 year Husky recently and her kindness and compassion through this difficult recovery time has been amazing. She gives new meaning to customer service and we want to thank her for that service. The only improvement I would like to see is in the coverage offered by Pet Plan. There are many holistic remedies and acupuncture treatments that the plan should cover and many of the other insurers do cover these types of treatments and procedures. The pet care industry is huge and Pet Plan is behind the times on some of the services and medical treatments that they should be covering but don't. For this reason I give them an overall rating of four stars, for customer service Heather receives five!
