A complete fraud, these guys are so deceitful and cheaters. They will do anything to deny claims. I purchased a house in 2022 and this year they tried to raise the premium to $2,000 a year on top of that they denied a claim for my roof replacement saying it was not damaged by a storm. I fired those mf honestly I can’t even fathom scam bags like these exist. DO NOT TRUST THEM run away from these thugs. Liars and cheaters. All they want is your money and when you face a situation requiring their assistance they will turn their back on you. You have been warned to walk away from these thieves….

Initially (about 3 years ago), Goosehead was wonderful. They made it easy to get insurance on a new property. Then, this year (2026) I had 2 situations where I decided I could not continue. One scenario was my insurance had lapsed for 6 weeks and I had NO IDEA! No one contacted me at all. Luckily, no issues happened and then they got a new policy in place quickly. But 2 months later, a newly acquired property, that I thought was insured, got a refund in the bank account. I had no idea why so I called Goosehead and they had to reserach. Well the insurance company sent questions to Goosehead for me to answer which Goosehead never sent me so insurance company cancelled my policy. I pay a premium to use Goosehead so I don't have to worry but I do have to worry! I switched to another agent with same insurance, and the price was about 20 percent less! So good riddance! I would not recommend them until you want to pay more and manager your own policies. Plus, they are impossible to get ahold of. The amount of times I had to ask for my policies to be cancelled so I could move was more insane.

In my experience, Goosehead Insurance was the worst insurance broker I’ve dealt with in Texas! Customer service was frustrating, or non existent and I felt I was steered toward policies with much higher premiums than I was able to find elsewhere for comparable coverage. There are far too many good independent insurance brokers out there to waste your time if your experience ends up being like mine. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

They are awful. I have been using them for a long time and they allowed my homeowners insurance to be dropped. I've been contacting them for at least 6 weeks about the problem and without homeowners insurance for about 3 weeks now. They are freaking awful and refuse to admit they screwed up. Amelia you were supposed to call me back in May and never did. The girl i just spoke with is so rude and acting as though this is my fault. Just bad customer service and rude. I won't be using them anymore. They don't respond quickly at all and refuse to take responsibility for their part in this situation.

I had a terrible experience with Goosehead Insurance and would not recommend them to anyone. The insurance agent provided misleading information that ultimately cost me more money in the long run. Based on the guidance I received, I made decisions that ended up having negative financial consequences. When I later tried to get help and clarification, the support I expected simply wasn’t there. To make matters worse, several weeks after speaking with the agent, Goosehead Insurance auto-drafted nearly $300 from my account. When I reached out to address the issue, they were unwilling to help resolve the situation or take responsibility for the confusion that led to the charge. Customer service should not disappear once a company has access to your money. If you’re considering Goosehead Insurance, I strongly encourage you to read reviews carefully and fully understand every detail before signing anything. My experience was frustrating, costly, and disappointing.

If there was less than one star I would have given that. The worst experience I had trying to get home and auto insurance from them. Provided home insurance and were trying to get me to sign in a hurry. When I read thru it the exception were they would not cover named storm (In Texas 99.9% storms are named) and also would not cover the cosmetic damage to roof. Roofs in Texas have hail damage which is all cosmetic. I am glad I did not sign with this agency. Wasted $300 as agency fee and they would not return for not able to provide insurance.

About the worst experience EVER with an insurance company - do not waste your time or money. And any real estate agent that recommends them is just trying to get you a cheap quote (which will not be a realistic quote) to close the sale and get their commission. Let's start with the quote while we were in the process of buying a house - initial quote sounded reasonable (about $2800 for homeowners insurance). ACTUAL cost once we bought the house - 90% more, almost double! When I asked why, the agent simply said the price always goes up when we do the final paperwork. A month later, we got a cancellation notice. Our agent didn't call us, and he wouldn't TAKE our call - he texted and said to call their phone bank customer service (pretty sure they are a group of ladies in India). WHY are they cancelling our insurance? It turns out they want us to modify the decks - which are fully conforming to all state laws and local building code - so they just made up a reason to cancel the insurance. The agent still wouldn't take our calls. The customer service bank is horrible - they don't know anything - they just read the letter I already have. No advice, no knowledge, and I was on the phone for about 45 minutes trying to get hold of someone on my scheduled call appointment. The system would randomly cut me off while I was trying to get to a human being. Over and over. Then, we asked for a quote from a different carrier - and the agent made up some higher number - I called that SAME carrier and got a quote at 1/2 what he quoted. So we told him we would find another carrier, and he said they would require the same modifications. Not true - the new carrier is HALF the price and the agent returns our calls. Now, the little details - Goosehead and Agent Chris couldn't even get our names right. Like many couples, we have different last names - and every piece of correspondence seemed to have a different combination of my name and my spouse's name. If he can't even get our NAMES right, what is going to happen with our policy? Oh, never mind, we already know - that turned out to be a total CF. I could go on and on, but let's just sum it up here - find anyone else to insure your home. California Fair Plan is more fair than Goosehead insurance. The mafia would be more fair and kinder to work with. This is possibly the biggest scam that exists in homeowner's insurance. Run, run, RUN away. There ARE better options out there.
