If I can give 0 stars I will. Desiree is my agent and these people do not honor a policy when its time to payout.I am disabled veteran who after I got cancer had to give up my home it was too big for me to keep up with. Fast forward to now I rented my home out to a family that flooded my upstairs, call insurance Desiree was being very rude and talking to me like a child. She then tells me she don't know why I am still responsible for the $8,000 deductible she only sales insurance. How do you not know about what you are selling is my question to her.

My experience with Goosehead has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. From the beginning, I was repeatedly given incorrect information regarding my billing date, automatic payments, refunds, and account status.
I was originally told my payments would be scheduled for the 15th, yet the billing date was repeatedly changed without my authorization. I was then contacted with very little notice and told I needed to make a $360 payment to avoid cancellation, only to later learn that the information provided was incorrect and another payment had already been scheduled. I also experienced duplicate/incorrect charges, delayed refunds, and a promised $181 refund that was later disputed despite having written documentation.
What has been most frustrating is the lack of accountability. I repeatedly had to follow up, correct information I was given, and explain the same situation to different representatives. Even a scheduled escalation call was missed, leaving me to follow up yet again.
I chose an insurance broker expecting them to make managing my policy easier. Instead, Goosehead added another layer of confusion, miscommunication, and stress. After numerous errors and unsuccessful attempts to resolve them, I have lost confidence in their ability to accurately manage my account or communicate on my behalf.

If I could leave negative stars!!
If I could leave negative stars I would!! The true test of an insurance broker is not how they sell policies but how they respond when disaster strikes. After all of my family's household belongings were destroyed in a fire, I turned to Goosehead Insurance for help. Instead, I experienced delayed responses, unreturned calls, repeated follow-ups, and little meaningful assistance when I needed it most.Losing virtually everything you own is devastating. Having to chase your insurance broker for answers during that crisis makes it even worse. While I was repeatedly assured that someone would contact me, communication was inconsistent and frustrating. I spent far more time seeking help than receiving it.I hope no customer experiencing a major loss has to go through what my family experienced. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Goosehead based on the level of service and support we received.

Terrible service once policy in place
Terrible service once policy in place. I have not had contact with my agent and I called and sent emails/text messages.
There is no number to call and speak with anyone directly. I will cancel and go back to USAA at least they respond.

Terrible service and zero follow through
We chose Taryn because she came highly recommended, and during the process of earning our business, she was excellent—responsive, helpful, and attentive. Unfortunately, that level of service disappeared once we became customers.
Over the past year and a half, we’ve experienced repeated problems with communication and follow-through. When my husband was hit head-on by another driver, the claims process was extremely frustrating, and despite reaching out to Taryn multiple times, we received very little help or communication.
We’ve also had to follow up ourselves on things Taryn said she would handle, including removing our son from our policy and getting us quotes from other insurance companies. Neither was done without us eventually having to make another call.
Most concerning was our homeowners policy. We had automatic payments set up and believed everything was fine. A week after our renewal, we discovered our homeowners insurance had been canceled for nonpayment. I immediately emailed Taryn and, despite the seriousness of having a canceled homeowners policy, received no phone call—only an email the following day telling me to call a number.
We’ve now had another situation involving our son’s insurance while he is away at Air National Guard basic training. A notice requiring action within two weeks was mailed to him, but again, no one contacted us directly.
Mistakes and issues can happen. What matters is how an insurance agent communicates and helps their clients when they do. Unfortunately, our experience has been a consistent lack of communication, follow-through, and proactive customer service.
We initially chose Taryn because of her reputation. Sadly, the service we received while she was earning our business did not continue after she had it. At this point, we no longer feel comfortable trusting our insurance needs to her.

They shut down my agents office. Now I can talk to anyone.
They shut down my agents office. Then never reassigned me to an agent. I have been trying to get help with my policies, but cannot get through to anyone. Everytime I call I get put into the same flow of only being able to speak to an AI assistant, after 10 minute, I get put on hold to speak with an agent, then I sit for another 30 minutes on hold.
This is absolutely terrible customer service. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed. I will be switching to a different agency ASAP.
