I am very disappointed in GoodRX, I signed up for their $100 subscription because the prices that were shown in the app for medications were significantly less than what pharmacy prices were showing. Unfortunately, those prices were not only bad information, but it ended up costing me more money than I was paying before. As an example, I needed to purchase kepra for my dog's epilepsy issues. On GoodRX it said that it was going to be only $9 at Walmart and approximately the same price at other various places. In reality, when I went to these different pharmacies, the price was more was over $50. For what good RX was saying was going to be only $9. This happened to me on multiple occasions for multiple medications. I really feel like I've been taken advantage of and wish that I could get my money back for my $100 subscription and just go back to where I was getting medication, which was actually cheaper than GoodRX very disappointed.

Scammy emails ruining the experience
I love goodrx but jumping on the bandwagon of scamming people that want GLP1s is really low. The email i received said glp1 starting at 39$. You get all the way to the end of signing up, put in my actual government id, submit a photo of myself, and then they tell me it's going to be $300 into the $39 is actually just for an appointment cost per month. Lol what a scam. Super disappointing.

Simply not what it shows you online or in-app. In reality, there is very little truth or accuracy to Good Rx. I no longer tell people to use it.

Horrible
I have no thyroid gland and I am moving soon and wanted to get my refills, usually a normal practitioner will give you a year of medication if labs are normal and no adjustments are needed. The nurse practitioner was extremely rude and cold, unhelpful and dismissive, she refused to refill thyroid medication when labs had just been done and were available, she was intentionally difficult, made rude comments and asked dumb questions when she had no intention of doing anything or helping me, mean for no reason, it’s thyroid medication not Vicodin.!!!! I’d rather never have to deal with the medical field if this is how I’m going to be treated, paying someone to abuse me is not my idea of medical care. I had to go to another online virtual care service and do another video visit to get my medication elsewhere, it shouldn’t be this complicated to get thyroid medicine. It’s a very common medication..

Poor service
The website does not work. I cancelled this subscription as well as my prescription and am still getting charged. Customer service does not respond until days later and emails are not responded to as well. I have sent another email for a refund and cancellation because the website is not allowing me to cancel.

This is specific to the GoodRx companion subscription.
This is specific to the GoodRx companion subscription. Theoretically you can get prescriptions for free but it's next to Impossible since none of the pharmacies actually provide the free prescriptions and contacting good rx's companion support ends up yielding no results since they price a very specific manufacturer that the pharmacies don't actually even carry, example Walgreens never carried and was unable to purchase the specific manufacturer that GoodRx said was free. Even with their standard pricing, many pharmacies don't honor for the same reason. CVS and often Frys price the prescriptions at less than GoodRx pricing so it's fairly worthless.

Glp1 rip off
I had a horrible and extremely frustrating experience with GoodRx while trying to obtain my Wegovy prescription.
After I had already been taking Wegovy 0.5 mg, the GoodRx app generated a message asking whether I wanted to move up a dose because several weeks had passed. I responded yes, believing the provider would review my history and prescribe the appropriate next dose. At the very least, I expected to receive the 0.5 mg dose I was already taking—not be moved backward to 0.25 mg.
I paid $200 based on what the app prompted me to do and with the clear expectation that my prescription would reflect my current dosage. Instead, I was prescribed Wegovy 0.25 mg. Going backward from 0.5 mg to 0.25 mg made no sense for me, so the prescription was unusable.
When I contacted GoodRx for help, they refused to refund my money, took no meaningful responsibility for the misleading experience created by their own app, and were not helpful in resolving the problem. The provider was also difficult to work with, leaving me with no real solution.
Now I have to go through my regular doctor and pay another $200 to obtain the correct prescription. That means I will be out a total of $400 because GoodRx’s process failed to clearly communicate what dose I would receive before taking my payment.
This was not a minor inconvenience. Wegovy is a prescription medication, and dosage matters. Patients should be able to trust that an app offering medical services will communicate clearly, review their medication history carefully, and confirm the prescribed dose before charging them. If the app specifically prompts a patient about increasing their dose, it is completely reasonable for that patient to believe they will not be prescribed a lower dose than the one they are already taking.
I am incredibly disappointed by GoodRx’s lack of accountability and compassion. I would not recommend using this service for Wegovy or any medication where the correct dosage is essential. Please be extremely careful before paying, because once GoodRx has your money, getting meaningful assistance or a refund may be nearly impossible
