Checked & doubled checked the GoodRx price, fill date, dosage, count of 2 prescriptions that should have cost $20 & $30 respectively. I was charged $57 and $75. I even showed the coupons to the pharmacy. It was better than the 250 that it would have come to without the discount but COME ON!

Recently Costco made a "corporate"…
Recently Costco made a "corporate" decision to increase (double and even triple) the prices previously honored (for several years now) on the Gold Good Rx app. Yet prices remain displayed on the app at the old (wrong!) prices - with a little tiny triangle with an explanation point in it (no legend, no footnote anywhere on the page OR the site) - when Costco regional Pharmacy manager was approached on this they blame it on losing money on Gold Good Rx on certain "maintenance prescriptions" and Medicare rules (oddly no other pharmacy is concerned about this?) I don't use Medicare part D so I have no idea why that applies to me but they claim they are losing $ - oddly, now other companies that honor the prices on the app don't have any triangles with explanation points and in checking the prices at other less convenient (distance wise) pharmacies, they still honor the price pricing as shown on their app. Even CVS, who often is somewhat higher for drugs on their app than any other GoodRx pharmacy, was among the cheapest for my one pain med, by 70% vs Costco!!
In pricing my other drugs on Gold Good Rx, I found most of them cheaper at CVS than the "new" pricing at Costco with only one exception out of 8 drugs I take and that one exception was only a few cents higher.
More disappointing is that Costco, who I have loyally filled my Rx's with for nearly 25 years now, and has always been reliably the best price on just about any prescription I have ever had filled, yet now they are higher than all the others on Gold Good Rx, just so "not Costco" - sadly. Worse yet, the prices continue to be displayed on the GoodRx app at the old. now inaccurate price, leading to what is surely more than a few upset customers every hour of the day at the pickup counter for Rx - if only they would explain what that little triangle means AND show the price properly so we can truly compare prices. The way it is now is simply "bait and switch" - like an illegal scheme to lure you in and then stick it to you by charging a much higher price. That may work once because customers just want their meds and not a confrontation but I can tell you it won't happen to me again - I am moving ALL of my Rx's to other pharmacies, even if it means going to three or four different pharmacies to get the best pricing - which is certainly not in MY best interest, something I had always counted on at Costco was they put their members first. Well, not this time. They have joined the ranks of the pharmaceutical thieves and PBM's that charge triple what others charge for the exact same drug.
Costco, if you are listening, when I'm not there to get my meds I'm also not there to buy my groceries, purchase a sofa or a big screen TV. Think about that for a minute - if you lose a buck or two on an Rx to be competitive but sell a cart full of groceries to that same customer who is waiting for their script to be filled, well, I think if one does the math you see a bottom line gain - penny wise, pound foolish Costco!
I still get my gas there but don't go in much anymore. Maybe they will come to their senses soon after they see their pharmacy customer database drop by 10% or more! I sure hope so. In the meantime, Gold Good Rx should display Costco prices accurately, not with little tiny triangles and explanation points that have no legend, logic or explanation.
NOTE TO GOODRX: you really need to fix this, show accurate prices for Costco and shed that little triangle with explanation point that means nothing.

Hi Bob, thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the trouble you have experienced with Costco Pharmacy. Costco has recently updated their policy and no longer accepts GoodRx Gold cards when purchasing maintenance medications covered by Medicare, like atorvastatin, or any opioid medication. I'm glad to hear that you've transferred your prescriptions, and I would like to offer you 3 months free of Gold for the inconvenience. Will you please provide us with your email or Gold Member ID?

Gold goodrx app was confusing
The Gold goodrx app was confusing. It did not show the price/discount for the different participating pharmacies. I went to CVS thinking I would only pay $10, but instead ended up paying $30... all because the app gave a misleading price. The app needs an upgrade.

GoodRx is essential for every one.
GoodRx is essential for anyone with insufficient insurance to cover their prescription drug costs. The savings can be enormous and the app is very easy to use.

I printed out the GoodRX coupon for my…
I printed out the GoodRX coupon for my dog's eye drops. I chose Walmart as I had to visit there anyway. The coupon price for these eye drops was really a good discount...close to 50% off what everyone else wants for the drops. Well, unfortunately Walmart would not/could not honor the coupon price stating that they were receiving an Error Code. I called GoodRX and spoke with a very helpful young man who took my info and called Walmart and then called me back. He stated that he gave the Walmart pharmacy a new coupon code and that they were to honor the discounted price. Went to store next day and guess what! They tried the newer coupon code given to them by GoodRx the day prior and stated there was still an ERROR code. They believe it was that my Veterinarian's name was the reason??? The Walmart pharmacy clerk was very helpful, even calling GoodRx on the phone while I was there. The GoodRX representative stated that the day prior's code was no good. Giving the Walmart clerk another code. And guess what?? the Discount was only for 5.00. All this aggravation for 5.00? Would love to know the real reason why the printed coupon and the 1st representative's coupon for the same discount would not process!!

Hi Patricia! We are so sorry that you experienced difficulties using our coupons at Walmart. Because the coupon prices are tied to actual cash prices which fluctuate over time, prices can change from month to month. Checking our website before you go to the pharmacy and printing a new coupon, will allow you to receive the best price every time you fill or refill a prescription. If it's helpful, before your pet's next refill, please give us a call at 888-799-2553, and we'd be happy to get the coupon on file right before you pick it up!

Walgreens does not take it for me anymore.
Walgreens does not take my previous insurance (humana)and I have always used Good Rx for it, the only medication I take from a retailer. I no longer have insurance and it worked last month went a few days ago and the pharmacy cashier/pharmacist said it doesn't work, so I scoured the internet and provided her with the good rx site with all of the info needed. It has always worked for 3years or so now. Had to pay full cash price which was a large amount. I felt bad for holding up the line and just paid for it. It is not the cards fault it isn't guaranteed they said but it seems from reading that this problem is common with Walgreens, and most of the time Walgreens is in the wrong and you should definitely look into why they have so many issues. I would like to know whether it is an invalid code now or.. thank you.

First One Is Free
My wife has non-small cell, non-smoking lung cancer. We purchased her first script for a little less than $500 at a Safeway (very rude) in Fairfax Va near Centreville. She is at a refill point and now the cost at the Saeway is over a 1000% increase. For the past week the cost at Giant has been a little less than $500. I'm guessing our inquiries have made that cost increase over 1000%. Bait & switch? It's like a drug dealer saying the first one is free--now we got you. So, my experience with Goodrx is pretty rotten.
GoodRx responded to me via FB that they would attempt to get us a manufacturers coupon. Instead they directed me to a GoodRx coupon for Kroger (I don't need that direction, I'm capable of finding it). So, my wife went to Kroger yesterday (2/27/20) and was told the prescription would be ready Saturday. This morning the Kroger pharmacist informed my wife they would not fill the script because it is a specialty drug. GoodRx stated they have that right since it isn't a stocked drug—and, no coupon at a "specialty pharmacy". No pharmacy will give us info without the script. So, we get it filled once and can never get it done again using GoodRx? Gone from 'pay more to no can do'?
I've seen many insane things in my life—this just jumped to first place. Too bad we're not buddies with Doug Hirsch. Then again, if we had millionaire friends, we wouldn't need GoodRx.

I am a veterinarian in North Carolina…
I am a veterinarian in North Carolina and have had many clients that have been able to get medications for their pets more economically using the GoodRx coupons - that is until today !! I had a client present a coupon for a commonly used drug for both veterinary and human patients at our local Walmart pharmacy - she was told she could not use it because the medication was for an animal . No where in the Good Rx description is this mentioned , in fact , they make a point of saying that these coupons are a good way for pet owners to get their animals medications more easily . I feel that someone should look into this store’s policies - looks like just a way for the store to make more money .

Hello Dianna! We sincerely apologize for the confusion! Your pharmacist may be having trouble with your GoodRx coupon because they need your veterinarian's DEA number. Either you or the pharmacy can call your vet to obtain the DEA number, or it may already be on the script.
In the pharmacy's system, human prescriptions require an NPI number to identify the doctor who prescribed the medication. Because most Veterinarians do not have NPI numbers, the pharmacist will need to use your vet’s DEA number to process a coupon for your pet.
While a DEA number is typically only needed for controlled substances, when it comes to human prescriptions, it is the only number that will work for pet prescriptions.
