I joined GoodRx to help me save on Rx costs while I am in between jobs, relocating to a different state & without good insurance. The upside was that my Rx were cheaper with GoodRx than they were with my previous insurance. So, I also upgraded my membership to include the discounted doctor visits given that I have thyroid issues and it states on their site that you can use these doctor visits for Rx refills on thyroid medication. What they don't tell you is that this is ONLY if you are taking synthroid!!!! Which, isn't disclosed until you log on to start your visit & start answering questions. I don't take synthroid. So now, my Rx is almost out, I can't use the service I've been paying for, and I'm in a situation where I am going to have to rush to find a new doctor in a new area that is prone to 2-month wait times for doctor appointments & spend way more money than I originally planned. Needless to say, I'm not happy about this. This could've easily been avoided if GoodRx clearly stated exactly what they had to offer upfront instead of implying they handle ALL thyroid medication refills. It's misleading. Had they, I would've known I couldn't use this service & planned accordingly. I could've booked a doctor appointment well in advance to ensure I didn't run out of my medication & set money aside. Now, I'm in a bad situation instead. If you decide to upgrade your membership make sure you get all the details first- call and ask to see if your specific situation & what you will be using it for is applicable. I hate to see anyone else end up in this situation, it's not fun.

I have used GoodRx several times but I want to question why you continue to show discount prices for Costco. My last three experiences with GoodRx at a Costco in Altamonte Springs, Fl was their refusal of the GoodRx codes and discounted price with the excuse that the medication supplier wasn’t their regular supplier and they can’t give me the GoodRx discount. They asked me for my prescription plan information & were surprised when I said it was GoodRx.

I just want to leave a caution for anyone looking to use GoodRx. It is convenient, and in some cases you can find prescriptions for much less than you would pay without this service. However, be sure that you are paying for your telehealth visit and not for a prescription refill on goodrx prescription site. Jumping through the hoops for a $19 refund is not worth the level of stress for someone experiencing depression and anxiety. I'm willing to let them have that just to save my peace of mind, but I'm also cautioning people to double check which service you are using. Otherwise fairly decent, but could use a little more transparency for consumers.

i tried good rx for the first time and wonder is the prices on the coupons just estimates for the meds . i got one pill 90 days GOOD RX showed price on coupon at 16.19 and walgreens charged me 33.09 calling it the estimated price which is it the price on the RX coupon or the store's estimate . i guess i don't understand how it works . please explain someone

Agents are very friendly and polite. However, the reason I called was to have a prescription transferred from one pharmacy to another. 1. The prescription was "transferred" to the wrong pharmacy. 2. The transfer never happened. So I ended up having to call the pharmacy to request the transfer. Which delayed the whole thing. It's not the end of the world, but service was not as advertised.
