GoodRX is great for researching drug…
GoodRX is great for researching drug costs from different pharmacies and learning about various discount programs. Vaccine discounts, not so much. The Shinrix vaccine is not covered by Medicare and many other plans. The CDC highly recommends it. Did my research on GoodRX and found the best deal for getting this shot. Printed the coupon and CVS could not get it to work. After doing some research it appears that you MIGHT need a prescription for the vaccine in order for the coupon to work. If that was the case CVS had no clue about it. I reviewed the coupon I printed out and there is a FAQ section. The FAQ does not mentioned that a prescription is required. If a prescription is requried and if it was mentioned in the FAQ section of the coupon I could have easily obtained one.

Hi, we are so sorry for the confusion but you are correct; to use any GoodRx coupon you'll need a valid prescription from a U.S.-based doctor. Please also know for vaccines GoodRx coupons are for the medicine only and do not cover administration fees. Once again we are sorry for any confusion and frustration due to the details not being clear. If you are looking for any more information on how to apply a GoodRx coupon towards vaccination please check out this page: https://www.goodrx.com/blog/heres-how-to-use-a-goodrx-coupon-for-your-vaccine/
