Our experience was super easy and seamless. Elia our breeder was great and so knowledgeable. She talked with us for a long time and let us ask any questions we had. I will definitely go to her if we ever want another pup. We love our girl she is the best so thankful for Elia. Our puppy is very well behaved and so loving it definitely shows that she came from a very good home.

The Good Dog site is easy to navigate and we found a great breeder who had the puppy we absolutely love.

For the most part the platform is great! My issue is with the fees associated with both buyers and my self. I don't mind to pay to use the service however I do not believe it should be this high!

I worked with two breeders each had a puppy of interest. The first breeder was difficult to work with. She had forms to fill out and in the end stated not sure we are a good fit. The next breeder was much more accommodating, friendly, and educational. Webwere excellent owners of two other dogs and it felt wonderful to be trusted and appreciated by the second breeder. We love our new poppy.

I found it very helpful that Good Dog verified the breeders so I knew this wasn’t a puppy mill. Our breeder was amazing and we now have a beautiful new puppy as a member of our family.

I found Good Dog after having communication with several individuals who portrade themselves as breeders. As the conversations went on the story changed. I knew that this was a scam in the making, but it's like it happened 5 or 6 times in a row. Then I started searching and I found Good Dog, within a couple of hours I found the puppy I had only dreamed about. Well, that little girl now brings me so much happiness in my daily life. The breeder was great to work with and if I am ever in need to have more fur kids, I will definitely contact her through Good Dog.

I purchased a Doberman puppy from Grace Run Bassett Hounds and Dobermans on April 13, 2025, after an exhaustive search for a good breeder. I found a puppy, and the red flags were waving right from the start. Wanting a puppy made me less concerned about a few flags. I decided on a date to pick up and didn't hear much from the breeder. There was some confusion as to the breeder's name, as it was Savannah, but I kept getting emails from Kathy. Then, when I was on my way, I texted her to let her know I would be there in three hours; she was surprised, but we worked it out, and she told me her daughter would meet me there. When I arrived at the home, the puppy was in a crate outside alone, which was very odd. The 'daughter' did show up, and I spoke to the breeder by phone. I made payment and was on my way home. While driving, I noticed the pup had passed gas and it was unusually noxious. After a few days, I had to text back to the breeder as I hadn't gotten any of the paperwork for the pup. I had to text again after a couple more days, and the paperwork was sent. By the way, the puppy was supposed to have been 12 weeks and, to my surprise, was huge for that age. Once I received the paperwork, I found out that he was 6 months old. His size made sense once I found out. She brushed it off as miscommunication. Also, he was supposed to have been microchipped but was not. On May 21st, my boy (Titan) vomited up a black blob of a foreign object. It was 4am and literally scared the dickens out of me. I picked it up with a towel and threw it in the trash, then thought better of it and got it out and rinsed it off to see what exactly it was. To my shock, it was a roll of ear posts wrapped in duct tape. Four posts, to be exact, made with tampons and rolled in duct tape! I contacted the breeder (I'll have to call her Kathy, though I'm not sure what her name is) to let her know. I explained that they had to have been there for months, and I was obviously concerned. She asked me if he was sick, to which I explained he had diarrhea and was just laying around but seemed okay. She advised there should be no concern if he was fine, explaining that she'd seen dogs throw up socks "forever later" but never an ear post. The next day, Titan got very ill. I had to rush him to the Vet ER because he had very liquid diarrhea, vomiting, and was shivering. The poor pup was very sick. They took x-rays and gave him some meds. They had to rehydrate him and asked that I return the next day, which I did. They took another set of x-rays and found that he would be fine. All in all, this visit cost nearly $2K. After a few days, I asked the breeder if she could offset some of those costs since it happened while the puppy was with her. I paid for insurance when I got him, so I figured maybe I could have the insurance pay for some of these costs. I didn't hear back from the breeder, and after a couple of weeks, I reached out to Good Dog. They had the breeder contact me, and at that point, she stated that she didn't get a message from me. NOT SO! I had sent several messages, and she ghosted. Good Dog, on the other hand, answered quickly, but in the long run, completely took her side. They did offer to refund me the cost of the microchip ($40), though I paid far more than that at the vet because he had to be sedated. This went back and forth for quite some time, and I decided to go through my credit card company to file a complaint. After much ado and back and forth, I was able to recover the cost of the dog to offset the veterinary bills. I put in so much work to find a reputable breeder only to find a terrible one who wouldn't take responsibility for an occurrence that happened on her watch. Then to have Good Dog not listen to me makes me wonder who else has had a rough go. Thankfully, I will never have to use them again, and I urge anyone looking for a puppy to avoid Good Dog as a source and most certainly, never purchase a puppy from Grace Run Bassett Hounds. I do know that she's no longer represented by Good Dog, so maybe there were some consequences that I don't know about. Good Dog is not so good for people paying thousands of dollars for a purebred dog and seems to only stand up for the breeders. NEVER AGAIN! After Good Dog's reply: The claim made with my credit card company was successful so there's that! People reading this: Don't be ripped off by Good Dog or their breeders. To be fair, I'm sure most are just fine but when there's a problem, you can bet that Good Dog will not support you only their breeder! Terrible doing business with them. Glad it's over.

Dear Janet, Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how stressful veterinary emergencies can be, and we're glad to hear Titan is doing well now. We take all concerns seriously to uphold the standards of our community, which is why we conducted a thorough review of your experience when you reached out to us a few months ago. As part of that review, we looked closely at veterinary records, correspondence between you and your breeder, and conversations with all parties involved. Unfortunately, based on the timeline and documentation that was shared with us, the breeder would not have been able to assist with an incident that occurred approximately one month after your pup left the breeder's care. That being said, we do know how stressful veterinary emergencies can be, and we continue to wish you and Titan all the best. Warmly, The Good Dog Team
