We found a retired breeder recently that fit our situation on Good Dog. I’ve found puppies previously on Good Dog and every experience has been super positive. The website is set up so tgat you can be super particular about what you are looking for and find plenty of options. Good Dog is my first choice in a dog search.

This review might be a little premature as we haven't received our puppy yet. We're due to pick him up 10/18/26. Our breeder has been excellent with everything so far.

Their screening of breeders, expedient and safe payment, helpful material.

Good Dog helped me and my husband find our breeder that suited exactly what we wanted. We have the most perfect angel pup and I couldn’t recommend using Good Dog more!

Good dog does not tell you how much they're going to charge you for a processing fee. In my opinion they charge way to much. They add 40+ to my deposit then almost 300 for the final payment. If there is a way to opt out of their fees like they say. It is fairly well hidden.

Hi Martin, Thank you for sharing this, and congratulations on your new pup! We understand that unexpected costs at checkout are frustrating, and we want our pricing to be as clear as possible. Every listing shows the breeder’s price as “before taxes & fees,” and the Price Breakdown section on each listing itemizes all costs before you apply or place a deposit. Our Protection & Support fee is optional. Buyers can opt out at checkout and pay by ACH transfer with no additional fees. If you’d like us to walk through the charges on your purchase, please reach out to [email protected] and our team will be glad to help. Warmly, The Good Dog Team

From searching on Good Dog, to interfacing with Fred's breeder - Rita, everything was great a very non-stressful interaction. Rita was great to work with, my location was Sparks, Nv and Her's was Klamath Falls, Or . She sent me videos so I could see more of Fred (Shit Zu dog's name). was willing to hold him for me so I could make the trip to her location. Was not disappointed when I seen him. A cute and welcome dog to our family!!

GoodDog claims to be a source to find ethical breeders, but they allow breeders who breed for mixed breeds to be on their site, along with the fact they dont even require people to do OFA health testing to advertise their dogs on their site. More then half of the breeders on there are puppy mills and backyard breeders. People should be held responsible to OFA health test dogs and prove them via doing sports or showing. Any pretty words wrapped in a nice bow means nothing without those actions being taken. EDIT: I saw they replied but honestly did not bother to see what they said because im sure its the same thrown up pretty words they have used before. I am not interested in hearing anymore and not interested in their lies either. A few minutes after I posted this review, I went back on their site and looked at 10 different breeders of 10 different breeds, and I still saw vast majority being backyard breeders. Their claims there arent any backyard breeders/unethical breeders on their site is a complete lie. Until the day I see ALL breeders have done ALL OFA testing and prove they show their dogs or do confirmation or sports? they are just as unethical as the breeders they allow on their site and I will continue to wave the red flag for them.

Hi Kovi, Thank you for sharing your concerns about dog health and breeding standards – these are issues we care deeply about too. Every breeder on Good Dog must go through our comprehensive screening process and meet breed-specific health testing requirements before joining our platform. We require OFA testing and other health screenings based on each breed's specific needs. Good Dog is a place for all dogs because we support the fundamental right to breed dogs and we know the future of well-bred dogs depends on responsible dog breeders. While we welcome responsible breeders of all types, every breeder – regardless of what they breed – must meet our health testing requirements and Breeder Code of Ethics, which you can read more about here: https://www.gooddog.com/standards-and-screening https://www.gooddog.com/breeder-code-of-ethics We hope this answers your remaining questions, but please do not hesitate to reach out if there’s anything more we can help with. Warmly, The Good Dog Team
