Breeders information was falsified/stolen photos
Breeders information was falsified on gooddog. The photos of the puppies were stolen on the internet. Google image AI search proved it. When I contacted the veterinarian the individual stated they used they had never taken the litter of the puppies selling to the vet. She had taken a different breed but in September 2025 when the puppies being sold were born Nov 1 2025. I contacted all the other local vets in the area and had gotten the same response. Multiple litters but none of the breed or within the date of birth of these puppies. I went through GoodDog because they allegedly vet the breeders. I caught this person in multiple lies and had enough evidence to call law enforcement for fraud and felony theft (she demanded I pay the deposit via paypal, zelle, or Venmo due to GoodDog “exorbitant” fees) Money that was returned to me. If the puppies were even real she had sold at least 2 that were picked up today at 11 weeks old and would have gotten their first shots and vet visit this morning if she even followed through with that. She claims she simply posted the photo of the wrong dog. Then it was that she accidentally sold that dog. Then she sent me videos of a similar looking dog but it was not the same one. Which she admitted she was just going to sell me that one that she had purchased as a breeder herself but legally couldn’t because of a contract. She then tried to coerce me into signing a non-disclosure document so I couldn’t speak about it to anyone before she sent my money back. I refused and gave her a deadline for the return of my money or I would call the police. She has since deleted the post for these puppies but has not corrected the false identity information. If it is not corrected by the beginning of next weekI will be turning this over to law enforcement. She has been operating this way for at least 2-3 years on good dog from what I have seen. Obviously GoodDog needs to audit their breeders. Allowing people like this to operate on their site completely undermines the companies core mission.
Response from Good DogJan 12, 2026
Hi Cindy, We're sorry to hear about this experience. We take enforcement of our standards incredibly seriously, and have a thorough review process to investigate and address these situations. Our team hasn’t yet heard from you about this situation. To begin our review process, please reach out to us at [email protected], and a member of our team will guide you through the next steps. When breeders and buyers connect on Good Dog, they agree to make their payments through our platform, and all buyers are made aware of this policy and our on-platform payment option before they can submit an application to a breeder and begin speaking with them. This On-Platform Payment Policy is how we keep our community safe. We understand you completed payments to this breeder outside of the Good Dog platform. Unfortunately, we're unable to assist with transactions that occur outside of our platform, as we have no involvement in, visibility into, or control over private transactions. Warmly, The Good Dog Team
