Good Dog is a secure and safe way to find and pay for your next puppy or dog. I paid for an older (poodle) dog, then realized it wasn't the right fit, (need a puppy with full papers and genetic testing); I canceled the transaction and received my refund notice the next day. It's great to know someone is NOT going to take your money via Venmo, PayPal and then ghost you, only to have to mitigate to get your money back 😩

We were looking for a puppy to extend our family for about 8 months. There are a lot of scams out there, puppymills, unqualified breeders etc.. Through Good Dog we found the most amazing breeder Nicole of Sourpatch Chihuahuas, the process was easy. Nicole was amazing to work with and she is truly a wonderful caring breeder. Most importantly, we now have a very happy healthy puppy added to our family.

I purchased a Basset hound puppy from Lady Mae Bassets in Ohio through Good Dog. Within 3 days i had to rush the puppy to the emergency vet. She had bronchial deterioration which is a congenital defect. The breeder denied any liability and told us we should have bought insurance. Later after filing a complaint with gooddog, she told me I could bring the puppy back and she would replace it with another puppy! Why would I take another puppy from an irresponsible breeder? Before I could even send all veterinary records to gooddog, they decided that I only deserved my deposit back! Bottom line, they do not stand behind their good health guarantees! Buyer beware Update! Now they are flat out lying! They asked me to send the vet notes, which i was still in the process of gathering when they made their decision! They never saw all the vet notes! Second, the breeder never offered a full refund for the return of the puppy! She offered another puppy from a future litter! Why would I accept another dog from Lady Mae Bassets of Ohio? Lastly, rhe breeders vet never did xrays, so no, their exam would not show this genetic defect. Shame on you gooddog!

It was pure joy when I received inquiries for my fur babies from quality serious buyers. Good Dog brought me together with lovely families and while the fees were steep for both parties involved I would have never found such amazing homes had we not connected on Good Dog.
