Always loved Godiva chocolates, shakes, and assorted items. TOTALLY screwed up all their sales, marketing, and presence with this closing of stores AND simple lack of product. For years, our family (not just I, the family) drank hot Godiva dark chocolate. Still on website, still on Amazon, still on Barnes & Noble website for purchase at stores, NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. If Godiva is going to go bait and switch, then it is unfortunate. Even if seasonal sale may understand (holidays, Thanksgiving). Chick-fil-A does well with Tortilla Soup (only after October through Jan). At leas present a "dark chocolate" (70% or more) health option. ... crickets. This is how a great company go into executive options decline and money extraction for bonuses and consumer brand draining disappearance. Good luck, Ghirardelli may bury it yet.

Okay ordering process and delivery timeframe. The truffles were not good. Thus the 2-star review.

Should have reviewed this site before placing my order, I now hope they'll have shipped the correct item and that it will arrive in time. We made a mistake on our order, placed early evening, and immediately called only to find that they were closed. So I emailed them at the address provided, asking that they call me first thing in the morning so that I could correct the order. Instead, I received an email saying they could do nothing so I called, they escalated my concerns three times to the managerial level, all saying that there's nothing that could be done because they'd already packaged my order. The facts that they were closed during a busy holiday season shopping time -- and would or should have read my email first thing in the morning -- were of no concern to them. In hindsight, I should purchase their product in the local store and ship it via USPS where you can track the order and avoid the type of circumstances described as typical of Godiva on this site.

I dislike the fact that the "freezer" bag to help keep the candy cool while in transit was not sealed! The bag of what I guess was "ice" to begin with was water and it was a dripping mess. Since I ordered an Advent Calendar I can't comment on the quality of the chocolate yet. I just hope it's good/not melted because it's a gift for my granddaughter!

The guide to the chocolates inside the box is quite useless, since it just listed names such as "volupte II" with no description. Also, the guide is a generic guide, not a guide to what is in YOUR box. I selected an "eclipse fraise" from the guide (because I just so happen to know that fraise means strawberry in French) only to realize that was NOT a selection included in my box. I consider this pretty ordinary for a $70 box of chocolates. Is it too much to expect a guide that spells out exactly what each chocolate is so one can select the one they want? A guide that, ideally, only lists the selections in YOUR box? That's the way fancy chocolate brands used to do it... I will say the first chocolate I selected at random, "lingot noisette" (whatever that means!!!) was absolutely delectable.

Godiva is an overhyped name. This is very average chocolate.

I had placed an order on 11/26/22 thinking their cyber sale had started. On 11/27/22 I received an email about a sale. The chocolate I purchased a day earlier was now 38.00 cheaper. I tried calling them…no one would answer. I finally got up with someone through chat, and ask if they could do a price adjustment, or at least an online credit. Was told they couldn’t do that, but they could cancel the order, and I could reorder at the lower price. I said, yes please. Representative said, your order is canceled. So, I reordered the chocolate. They had charged my card, but they had refunded it. I’m thinking ok…everything is good. I have a screenshot of the chat. Nope, they end up sending out both boxes of chocolate, and recharging my card for the order that was canceled. I tried calling AGAIN, no one would answer. Emailed, got a response days later….after chocolate had been delivered. This company is a joke. This is not the Godiva experience you use to get years ago. AVOID!

Ordered online and paid for 2nd day shipping for Christmas gift. Received confirmation, everything exactly like I ordered. Two days later the candy has not even shipped yet, called Customer Service (she was exceptional/pleasant/professional). CS stated that I CHOSE a delayed delivery date on the order. Which I did not. The confirmation of the order stated no delayed date, and why would I pay for TWO DAY SHIPPING for a delayed or later ship date????? Very disappointed, will not purchase from Godiva in the future again.
