I ordered for Valentine's day. I ordered on the 27th of January; plenty of time, right? NO. Even though I pulled from my saved address book an address I had already used and made an order to, guess what? Suddenly there was no name attached to the address, even though I can see it on my receipt and view it on the order on their website. Did anyone call me about this? NO. Did anyone email me about this? NO. I kept watching my order and it always said NEW. Having no idea anything was seriously wrong finally I called them because it was getting down to the wire. That is when I was informed about the so-called issue. I was so angry I canceled the order, deleted all my info from their site, and vowed NEVER to ORDER THEIR CHOCOLATES AGAIN!!! Then I had to rush at the last minute and find something else to send to my Great Aunt, who is 94 years old. Now it is Valentine's Day, and that order is late, but we know the reason why...GOOD FOR NOTHING GODIVA!!!!! I wish I'd read the reviews on this site before I ordered, but last year it was totally fine, no problem. I don't think Godiva will be with us much longer. There customer service was horrible. I used the chat first and got a snippy little girl who wasn't even reading what I was writing, and then she sent me a cut-and-paste of shipping times which had zero to do with my inquiry!! Reading comprehension is a necessity of life Godiva. Then I called, and when I finally got through, I got a nice lady who was completely useless. She claimed she couldn't see the address on my order; she could only read the notes attached to it. The notes claimed they called me, but THEY DID NOT. This was a very important occasion and gift. My Great Aunt may not be around much longer, at 94 you are living on borrowed time, and Godiva FAILED 100%. It was the most infuriating experience. Not only will I never use their website again, I will also never buy their chocolates again from anyone else. Bye Bye Godiva. I believe they are going out of business. Honestly, I have never seen so many 1 star reviews.

Don't buy gift cards for Godiva. You cannot use it and a credit card in the same order on their site. So if your balance is less than what you are spending or you have a few bucks left, you're screwed and Godiva gets to keep your leftover money.

I ordered Christmas gifts for out of state family and assumed that I would get an email with progress. I got one email stating that they received my order. That was it. So, after Christmas, I asked family if it was received (my family is very good about contacting for thank yous), and they did not receive. When I called them because I never got an email response from the 10th of December until January 17th, after being on hold for a time, I was told that they have the order, but no one ever did anything with it. It still sits on the order queue, but orders have moved all around mine. Then I get an email saying sorry, too bad, so sad, and no explanation, reasoning or even an excuse. This was the last time I will ever do business with Godiva. Other chocolate company's are just as good, hopefully more customer friendly and following through on sending orders.

I ordered Dec. 2 and didn’t get a update Dec. 19(only because I chat & sent an email). First they said my order is out of stock. The next day I got an update that it was shipped. I was trying to cancel it but they said it’s too late because it’s been shipped already. I ordered $200 plus worth of chocolates to give on Christmas. I returned all my order, I got a confirmation that they received it but never got my refund up to this day (Jan. 14, 2023). Bad customer service. I will never order again from Godiva.

My order number is 2001126387. I place order every year for my suppliers for wishing a Happy New Year to them. Today as of 11th January, I wanted to check if the order is delivered, as I have placed the order with a confirmation 26th of December. And Kacy from Customer service told me that my order didnt process because I had an international billing address even though I give every year every order from Godiva with the same billing address. I said I would change it if I know it, how can be one email so difficult to send to notify me. She says oh you can place the order now with US address. Really? I will trust you from now on suddenly? And now New Year almost over, it is Chinese New Year now, so thank you, no more Godiva. What a waste of time.

Godiva chocolate’s has terrible customer service and does really nothing to attempt to make things right for the customer

I made a holiday order on 10/25/2022 to arrive by 12/16. Charged same day. Order never arrived. Call Center constantly closed, Life Chat unavailable, Customer Service emails ignored. On 12/21 I finally got a Live Chat person only to find the items are out-of-stock & 'did I want a refund?' Are you kidding? Now come to find the refunds take time. They charge us the moment we place an order, never ship the items & want to keep the money? If you are sending a gift, be very sure it arrives. Many on-line reviews site the same issues I've related. No fulfillment, money kept, no contact to customer.

Ordered 8 boxes to give for the holidays on 12/3 and two weeks later no update and the order still shows as "New". Have called and tried to use the chat function multiple times over the past two weeks and they are clearly not staffed at a level that can provide any customer service. Was on hold more than 30 minutes and never got through on the phone. Attempted chat multiple times during their posted hours and get kicked out immediately with a "we're experiencing heavy volume" response. Sent an email to the address provided and never got a response. Have placed big holiday orders for years and very sorry that they are no longer delivering good service.
