Wrong drawdown calculation and terrible customer care responses
I have had several accounts with Goat funded and had 1 funded. My last account, which I bought 2 weeks ago suddenly closed an open (would have been) profitable trade last week when it was in a floating loss. I checked to see what happened only to see a mail stating that I had reached my max daily drawdown on the account #315261162. I knew of course that I had not. Apparently, a loss I had taken days before was counted as a loss for that day. I escalated the issue to their customer care and after giving silly general responses, one was bold enough to admit the system really had issues. Upon further escalation, one said daily drawdown does not count for just that day and even said it did not matter if the loss was taken 10 days ago. He could just admit that htey had intentionally set the counting to breach my account than say such. He clearly did not know the difference between daily drawdown and max drawdown. Anyways, after plenty evidence that they had a wrong calculation, they still did nothing about it, knowing fully well it was a wrong call. I dont even think it really is the customer care not wanting to do anything about it, even though they themselves dont really know hwhat they are doing a lot of times. The first guy I talked to just kept giving me answers provided by Ai, until I called him out for like the tenth time in the conversation. I think they know there system could calculate wrongly or theyve deliberately set it to be so. Either ways, it is evil.

SCAM ALERT
SCAM ALERT: Hidden Rules Designed to Steal Your Money!
Stay away from Goat Funded Trader (GFT). This platform is a complete scam designed to trick traders and steal their funds using hidden rules.
I recently purchased a $5K Instant Hero account. On my active trading dashboard, the Daily Drawdown limit was clearly displayed as 3% ($150). As a trader, I naturally managed my risk based on what was actively shown to me on the screen.
However, my account was suddenly breached and permanently closed when my floating loss reached just -$51.93. When I contacted support, they suddenly brought up a strict 1% ($50) "Floating Loss Limit".
The biggest scam here is that this 1% ($50) limit is NEVER shown on the active trading dashboard! They boldly display a $150 daily limit to give you a false sense of security, while secretly running a strict $50 limit in the background to automatically fail your account. It is a deliberate trap to make traders fail so they can collect the reset fees.
When you question this deceptive dashboard, their support team just sends automated copy-paste replies and refuses to help.
Do not trust their dashboard and do not give them your hard-earned money. They are not a transparent prop firm. Stay away!

Hi Niyas,
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
We're sorry to hear about your experience, and we understand your frustration regarding the account breach.
However, we would like to clarify that Goat Funded Trader does not operate with hidden rules.
Each account type has its own trading conditions and risk limits, which are outlined in our Terms and Conditions and are available for traders to review before purchasing an account.
The Daily Drawdown Limit and Floating Loss Limit are two separate risk parameters, and compliance with both is required.
We understand your concern regarding how these limits are displayed on the dashboard and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
We have already requested your account information through Trustpilot so that we can identify your account and have our Risk Management Team review your case in detail.
We take transparency and customer support seriously and we remain committed to addressing concerns fairly and professionally.

I am deeply disappointed with how Goat…
I am deeply disappointed with how Goat Funded Trader handles daily drawdown limits.
My account (#315322548) was breached due to "Daily Loss Limit" rules based on temporary floating equity, even though my total realized losses were well within the allowable 5% limit.
Starting Balance for the Day: $96,685.00
Max 5% Daily Drawdown Limit: $4,834.25 (Floor: $91,850.75)
My Realized Closed Losses for the day: -$1,836.00 + -$1,816.50 + -$330.00 = -$3,982.50
As you can see, my actual realized loss was only $3,982.50, which is far below the $4,834.25 allowed daily limit. However, support confirmed that because my floating equity briefly dipped below the threshold before I closed the trade at a much better price, the system automatically breached my account!
Even if you manage your trades, recover equity, and close your positions safely above the daily limit, their automated system counts the temporary floating drawdown spike and terminates your account anyway!
This rigid and unforgiving floating equity breach rule acts as a trap for traders. Be extremely careful if you plan to trade with Goat Funded Trader—your closed trade total means nothing if equity spikes for even a second. Don’t wast time on GFT it’s a scam !

Hi Tha Raksmey,
Thank you for sharing your concerns and providing a detailed explanation of your experience.
We're sorry to hear about your disappointment regarding the daily drawdown calculation and the resulting account breach.
We would like to clarify that the Daily Loss Limit takes into account both realized and unrealized (floating) losses. This means that the account's equity must remain above the permitted threshold at all times, even when positions are still open. If equity falls below that threshold, a breach can occur regardless of whether the positions are subsequently closed at a smaller loss.
These rules are designed to ensure consistent risk management and are outlined in our trading conditions.
That being said, we understand your concerns and appreciate you sharing your account number. We would be happy to have our Risk Management Team review the calculations and circumstances surrounding your account breach to ensure everything was applied correctly.
We value transparency and fairness and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
