This is the worst system ever, why the University of Athabasca continues to allow this is ridiculous and shows why their programs are not an acceptable education option. Every test my wife has had has always been a wasted experience as everything works well until those proctors touch her computer and something gets screwed up. It is stressful enough at exam time and then proctoru screws up and adds more stress and her focus is gone. That's if the proctor even stays, once they left in the middle of the exam. It's the STUPIEST system I've seen. Where we are at with technology today and a company that makes their revenue using technology cannot invest in the proper tools should be an embarrassment to management but as they are not accountable to anyone they dont care. This should be something the University should rectify however Atabasca itself is not in my opinion reputable institution.

Worst proctoring system ever created, educators can’t allow for this awful website to still be used. They waste over 3 hours just to START the test they treat you with the utmost disrespect they discriminate and they are to cheap to hire Americans so you have a bunch of people of the Philippines who they pay $1 an hour to proctor you. They go through your personal information and make you show between your legs if very uncomfortable. I had to take proctor u over 20 times because of my school. I left that school because of proctor u and how bad it was and how much stress it would give me I hope no one ever uses this disgusting website and it burns to the ground

Horrible app Given a choice I would give no star. TOEFL TEST stopped midway. 7 hours of fixing , rebooting, nothing worked. The techs were untrained whon only knew how to troubleshoot according to a sheet . No real knowledge of software. A tech IRENE didn't even tranfer me to another tech despite several requests n kept on clicking random buttond for 1 hour. Horrible Horrible app. Please don't go for any exam with this app. Its a rip off

They cancelled my PRAXIS test before I even got to take it, and it was a pain just to get a proctor on. It's been a month now, and nothing has been resolved. And they have not even given me a good reason for terminating my test, nor has my money ($130) been refunded.

Awful experience. Everything worked night before test and nothing worked the next morning. Troubleshooting required more software installs and a remote login with more software installs to get their tools to work as test time started. It really is a zero star experience.

Haha great reviews! I passed my equipment check before the test. When I went to take the test the proctor said my microphone wasn’t working so I was sent to tech support. I was told my account didn’t exist and poof all the sudden it did. I think his name was Ramirez. I was told I would be emailed with troubleshooting information but never received an email (This is before my capstone exam for Computer Science). So I get back on with tech support. The next tech remotes into my machine, uninstall and reinstalls the ProctorU extension, restarts my computer, checks my updates and cannot figure out why my microphone isn’t working. They go to control panel and we can both see the microphone is indeed picking up noise. To no avail I’m passed off to a third tech support rep. The tech support rep does the exact same thing as the previous rep but when we’re on the control panel clearly seeing that it is not my microphones issue, tells me I need to fix my microphone and reschedule when it is fixed. My microphone worked in every single program other than ProctorU. I have now dedicated my existence to taking down this company. These reviews support that. I’ve worked in tech support and will absolutely not allow someone to tell me my microphone is the issue when we can both see it is clearly working on my end. Best of wishes ProctorU!

Hello. I used this platform to get throught an exam and my expirience for horrible. 1 star for a quick customer support (not the automatic one). First, it is realy hard to understand what to do, everything is popping up during downloading, you just spending time to just make an access to you proctor. Then the proctor asks for permission to handle your mouse and he (she) can see everything in your computer. NOT OK! Next. The proctor turns on and off whatever is needed to make everything work. It takes time and the proctor restarts your chrome few times and I lost all my marks because of that! Ok after we made through and I got my test my screen started bleaching I said twice about it to my proctor, nothing was done about it and it was very disturbing to do my test because of it! Finally im done and I am sitting and checking my Mac and changing passwords because I have no idea how safe the platform is. P.S. sorry for my English, im just very angry and in a rush.

They don't show up and if they do show up for your online exam, you will likely get disconnected and/or the pre-test routine takes a ridiculous amount of time. Zero consistency in their rules for what you can/can't have for the test. JUST A HEADS UP: if you have to use Proctor U, plan at LEAST one hour before you want to start the exam to deal with their ineptitude. Runs quite deep.
