We paid off our lease early and decided to purchase the car. This is where the nightmare begins. After sending them a final check for approximately $30,000 it took us 4 months to get title release documents. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in this company. Several staff lied and said the problem was fixed and the release documents were in the mail, they still never came for over 4 months! They lied to you to get you off the phone! In addition, we discovered recently that although they call themselves GM Financial. There are several companies working together including: Acar, Wells Fargo and GM. They are like the Keystone Cops! They are terrible And they don't offer the best rates. Avoid this company. They take forever to answer calls. We had to threaten to take them to the State and News Media to get action and then 4 months later the documents were overnight to us!

Wish I could give zero stars. I've been trying for over a week to cancel gap insurance on a refinanced vehicle that wasn't originally bought with anything GM related- I keep getting told I need to talk to someone else- then call the someone else and never get anywhere and told the same thing. TRASH service-

I had very bad experience with them. I sent many emails never receive any response , make calls never answer. My advise don't ever buy G.M cars

I just paid off a leased vehicle in order to sell it and to my great disappointment, GM will not, under any circumstance send the lien release any sooner than 17 business days after the date it is paid off. They got my check in 2 days and paid it off the same day. A simple contact with the state would do the trick, but instead may blow up my deal because of their inability to do anything intelligent, or be helpful in any type of way. LAST GM VEHICLE EVER!!!

More than an hour on hold only to get hung up on. Got to text chat after calling back, first operator did everything to place blame on me for a change in GM's payment processor as verified by chase bank. was told to go write a letter to my bank to allow GM to receive funds. I advised the staff member that more than 5 days ago I used bill pay through Chase bank to make sure my account stays in good standing. My account is NEVER late. Chase bank confirmed that the payment to GM posted on the 15th of December. The chat agent for GM told me it takes 48 hours to post the payment. Well if I do my math correctly, the 15th of december to the 22nd of December is more than 48 hours and more than 5 business days. I provided a confirmation number to the agent, I was met with silence. I asked that someone remove the block that GM placed on my checking account, again silence. I asked for a manager, after 20 plus minutes one came into the chat and immediately stated she was going to remove the block on my account without me even asking...yet the other agent couldn't even respond to my request??? I was then advised that my auto pay program was cancelled by customer request. #1 that is absurd why I would cancel auto pay since it is a convenience to me. #2 I had not contacted GM or logged into my portal since the last time this exact thing happened when GM changed payment processors about a year ago, maybe less. I made sure to provide enough information to ease the chat agent investigation as I had already researched this and made attempts to restart auto pay. I don't like being talked down to, I don't like people trying to get me off the phone because they don't understand what is going on. I don't like when someone places blame of an innocent party for something that has not even been looked into. Maybe it was a new staff member, who knows, but what has lasted more than a week now was resolved in 15 minutes when a knowledgeable agent entered the conversation. This unfortunately mirrors the previous issue. How about some communication so I can make my financial institution aware of pending changes. We live in an age of information, empower me to do what your system fails to do. My time is just as valuable as anyone else.

I had a leased GM truck. I sent an additional $$7,100.00 before my lease ended. I was told that by the advisor that this would deduct from purchase price. I went a got a loan through my credit union for the purchase price minis additional payment. They never applied it but sure did take the extra payment. When I called back the advisor said they would issue a refund. This is now 4 attempts after 2 months and still no refund. On Dec 9th the 4th attempt I waited over one hour on the phone for them to say the check is in the mail and that call back if I don’t get a check. I asked for a confirmation number and they all claim there is none and that they are not allowed to provide a full name. This has been so frustrating to as this has been way to long.
