Rude and unprofessional customer service. One agent gave me bogus information about obtaining a letter needed to clear title. Call was shuffled around to different customer service representatives and ALL gave me different information. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, of course she was in a meeting. I would give zero stars if I could.

When you don’t value your customers you don’t have. I went to dealership in Chicago Napleton downtown to get my 2020 equinox fixed. Engine light coming on and can’t pass emission. I paid a total of over 700 light came right back on the same day. After going back 3 times they are now saying I need 1500 dollars more work. When it was went by Roger’s it was great. I called GM. They said they would give cost assist then didn’t . Told me to call back in 3 days they will review. But now saying I will have to bring car back in. After telling them I need the car working dur to my health issue. Car drives fine. Dealership are supposed to know their car. That’s why I took it despite the cat. I’m filing a claim with states attorney to get my 700 dollars back.

Trash company suddenly long ago I loved gm and was such a fan until 2 yrs ago when service sales and all around experience turned to trash! Awful rude workers who sale the product and pass you off in hopes not to see you again. On top of that they changed warranty carriers so now I am getting calls to make a payment on my totaled car even though they received the insurance check and are aware that Zurich has the claim but takes months to review

I do get it that my situation might not reflect all others, but we went through a Bankruptcy, which terminates your automatic payments. Once it discharged I was thinking I had to decide to turn them off before they repossessed the vehicle, but I was already behind on payments due to them terminating the automatic payments. So they repo'd the vehicle between 2:45am and 6:10am Monday morning, so I walk out to go to work to find my vehicle gone. They wasted money paying a repossession company vs just calling me and working out my dropping the vehicle off to them. This is how they should handle bankruptcy cases. I get some people will hide the vehicle, resist it being taken, but what a waste of money. Now I have to go down during my normal scheduled work hours to recover my stuff and ended up forgetting something fairly important and now we can't access the vehicle again. Just a stupid situation that was avoidable and I am sure they paid $300-400 to have the vehicle repo'd and are missing a key, as I did drop one off when I went to recover my things. Both parties lose.

I paid off my 3 year loan contract in July, 2026. I never missed a payment and never made a late payment. Today is September 14, 2026, and I have yet to receive my title showing the lien has been released. I've called the GM Financial Customer Service number at least eight times. My DMV can see my electronic title online, and it still shows a lien against the vehicle so they can't proceed with issuing a duplicate title for me. The GM Financial management people are absolutely worthless, and could are less about their customers. They have a steel wall of customer service people built between the customer and them and there is no way to get through that steel wall. I will never, ever use GM Financial again no matter what kind of deal they offer. The grief is not worth the savings.

Leaser beware. If you lease a GM vehicle and at the end of the lease you do not buy another GM vehicle they will charge you a $395 disposal fee even if the dealership says they will not. They do not care how many vehicles you have bought from them (I have bought 10 over the past 20 years), all they want is that extra $395 dollars. I contacted them after returned my 27 month, single payment lease early and then received the disposition fee. After waiting on the phone for over an hour being bounced around between representatives, I was told that they would not waive the disposition fee even at the cost of losing my business. I will never buy another vehicle from GM again. They effectively lost tens of thousands of dollars over a $395 fee.

This insurance is a total joke. The quote was three or four times higher than any other insurance I've ever talked to. Nothing more than a total waste of time. Just gathering my information. Don't even get a quote, don't think about it.

Been a customer for 10+ years and will never come back. My lease stopped turning on, was at the dealership for almost 2 months total while I was still paying the lease, dealership crashes the car in the process so they had to keep it longer to fix, and then when I ask GM financial after all of that to remove half the disposition fee upon returning it (which isn't even one month's lease payment mind you) considering I paid for 2 MONTHS without a car (and they didn't provide a rental for 1 month of that) they couldn't be bothered. Worst experience, lemon cars without recognition, shitty dealerships. Stay away.
