Great all-in-one CRM for membership organisations – but setup takes effort
We’ve been using Glue Up for around two years at Fingal Chamber, and it’s been a very positive experience overall – particularly for managing events and automating renewals. We were looking for a more integrated system to replace ChamberMaster, and Glue Up has helped us bring membership, events and communications into one platform. What stood out during selection We spent quite a bit of time researching CRM options using platforms like Capterra and Software Advice, comparing features and reviews. Glue Up consistently came out on top in demos, mainly because of its all-in-one approach and strong event management capabilities. How we use it We now use Glue Up across most of our operations: - Managing our member database and engagement history - Running events and webinars (Zoom integration) - Sending member communications and newsletters - Handling payments via Stripe and syncing with Xero - Automating renewals and routine communications Having everything in one place has made a noticeable difference. What works well The biggest benefit has been efficiency. Automating membership renewals alone has saved a significant amount of admin time, particularly during renewal cycles. The events functionality is particularly strong, and the integrations with Zoom, Stripe and Xero work reliably. Customer support has also been responsive whenever we’ve needed help. Across the team, adoption has been good – although having an internal “go-to” person for the system has made a real difference. Things to be aware of There are a few drawbacks: - The backend can be slow at times - There’s a learning curve, especially early on - Initial setup and data migration require careful planning - Some contact/billing fields need to be manually duplicated across sections (no auto-populate) - The surveys module is fairly basic, and post-event surveys need to be created manually each time The migration piece is probably the most important. Cleaning and structuring your data properly, and understanding how settings affect your setup, takes time but pays off later. Overall We’d rate Glue Up 9/10. It’s a strong, reliable platform for Chambers and membership organisations, especially if you want to consolidate multiple tools into one system. Bottom line: If you’re willing to invest time upfront in setup and onboarding, Glue Up can significantly streamline your operations and reduce manual workload.
