Just a few minor adjustments and this site will be perfect
I would use this site again if ever needed. I had trouble singing in quite a few times and also had some trouble editing some of our updates and pictures but overall the site was very helpful and we got our donations on time every time.

Hi Seasha,
Thank you for reviewing our site. It's great to hear you'd use GiveForward again. It looks like you may have accidentally created a duplicate, Facebook-connected account, so that must have been the source of your login problems. I apologize for the frustration that caused you.
May I ask for more details about the issues you experienced editing your Updates? When you attempted to do that, were you accessing our site from a desktop / laptop computer or via the GiveForward app? Did you see any sort of error messages while trying to make edits? Any further details you can provide will help us fix this problem.
Thanks again and all the best to the Hassetts.
Sincerely,
Michael & The GiveForward Team

Get it Done, that's what GiveForward can do!
It was easy to set-up. Interfaced with Twitter and facebook so I could easily let my friend know what my fundraiser was about!

A great success!
I was quite satisfied with my experience with GiveForward, because it allowed me to give my family, friends and coworkers a convenient way to donate online. The vast majority of people who donated chose to cover the GiveForward fees themselves. A few did not, and others who wanted to avoid the fees just mailed us a check directly. It was also very simple to set up the fundraiser initially, to thank people who donated, and to give them updates.
There were two things I didn't like about GiveForward. They sent automated e-mails soliciting more donations even after we'd reached our goal. To prevent that, I changed the end date of the fundraiser so it would be over instead of lasting the full 90 days. In addition, they promote themselves as being different because they have "coaches" to help you with your fundraiser. However, what you get are automated messages each week with a different suggestion about how to promote your fundraiser. The suggestions were already there on their website and I'd seen them all when I was reading about GiveForward before I decided to use them. So I thought I'd be getting coaching customized to us and our specific fundraiser, but it was all the same canned advice that goes to everyone who uses them. Nevertheless, my fundraiser was very successful and I would recommend them. Just don't expect personal coaching.

RSRW, it's wonderful to read that you were overall satisfied with your experience at GiveForward! I apologize for the automated emails sent to your Supporters after you reached your goal (congratulations, by the way). Please know the intention of these emails is to help you raise more money; at this time, they do not stop when a fundraiser meets its goal, but that's a wonderful suggestion and I've added it to a list we maintain to implement. Also, we are striving to make our Fundraising Coaches more proactive in helping fundraisers raise more money. Real-life coaches (like me) are available via phone, email, and chat with customized advice for every fundraiser. When you held your fundraiser, we may have been more reactive to inbound inquires and relaying advice to those requesting it. However, we are making changes to our processes and priorities to better serve people like you with relevant tips!
All the best,
Michael P.

Powerful tool for good, but often confusing to navigate
I'm generally happy with my experience raising funds for a friend's medical expenses through GiveForward, but I found payment options confusing as they're through a 3rd party that isn't as responsive as the GiveForward people are. Plus, I sometimes found the GiveForward website itself to have a confusing array of options that weren't helpful. Once we'd reached our goal, GiveForward continued sending out notices to my Facebook feed asking for donations and I got no response from the team about how to shut down the fundraiser before the time span. But it did work to get the money into deserving hands and I would probably do it again despite the difficulties.

great program - a few kinks
Had a great time raising the money. Easy for all to donate. easy to cross-post and share page. However when money was to be sent to the family receiving the donation, they had some issues cashing the check and had to wait for almost a week for it to clear - due in no fault to their bank. They had to facilitate calling the Give Forward rep to get further information about why their check wasn't being cleared. They eventually got it and got their cash. Other than that great website and easy to use.

Good way to get help from friends; does have some technical issues
This was a great site and opportunity to be able to take funds easily to help pay for treatment. It was easy to provide updates to people who had donated, and was a good way to be able to gather the funds for use.
Some upgrades which would be nice would include a way other than PayPal (or check at the end) for payout; linking directly to a bank account would have been helpful.
Also, the trigger email response for donations button was easily dismembered, but not able to be turned back on, making it more manual for sending out thank you information.

Super easy to set up and use!
This sites was able to help raise funds for funeral costs for a young man who passed away way to young. We were able to raise well over $5,000 in less than a month and the family received the funds promptly.
Thank you Giveforward!!
