Dear Krug, We extend our apologies for not being able to provide the experience you deserve. At the delivery stage, local couriers take part in completing this part of the process. Due to an unfortunate last-minute logistical situation in their system, they were unable to deliver your gift on time. While this was out of our direct control, we informed you accordingly and took immediate responsibility, and as part of that responsibility, a partial refund was processed. We can assure you that such circumstances are never intended to cause harm or inconvenience on purpose. As a customer who trusted our services again, we understand your disappointment, and while this situation occurred, we proceeded with the refund as the least we could do and extended our apologies to the recipient for the delay. Dear Vadim, After understanding the delivery did not happen as expected, we proceeded right away to escalate it to the couriers in charge and engaged in communication with you throughout the day. As we rely on local services, and as a standard practice, we needed a bit of time to get the information to understand the reason for this: we managed to know that the delivery failed as the courier could not locate the delivery address. Furthermore, they reported an attempt to reach your recipient over the phone with no positive results. This unfortunate situation led to an unsuccessful delivery. That said, and in the meantime the investigation process started, we acknowledged your willingness not to wait for further news and investigation results and we proceeded as per your request: by canceling the order, issuing a full refund, and absorbing the expenses for some items that can not be consumed which had been specially prepared for this delivery. We understand that it is disappointing when things do to go as planned and we share the same feelings. We, at GiftBasketOverseas, underline our commitment to continue improving our processes to provide the best service possible.
