I really like the fact that they can come out and do your blood work at your house but a few days ago when they came to take blood from my mother, it just wasn’t a good experience. The lady that did her blood work was kind of a mess. She was having hot flashes and sweating and she stuck my mom several times and to be honest I’m not sure if she actually knew what she was doing even though she said she had been doing this for 30 years. You shouldn’t have to stick somebody that many times to get simple blood work done. And then the way she ended up doing it was weird. I had never seen it before, but she attached some kind of syringe and that’s how she pulled her blood out and then she put the blood in the tubes afterwards. I just hope we don’t get her again because the first time we had blood work done with this company. The lady that came was great. I did request her, but we didn’t get her and unfortunately we got somebody that we just had a really bad experience with for two hours.

The first time I used get labs, everything went smoothly. The second time I used get labs, they got my birthdate wrong on my sample so I am not able to get my results from LabCorp. Then when I reach out to them to fix the problem, they say they can’t change the birthdate on a sample and good luck. 50% is a failing grade and now I’m just sitting here wondering what my lab results say.

My husband and I both had blood drawn and he went first. When he did his draw he used a butterfly needle on him. My husband had big plump veins. Usually when I go to the lab they use a butterfly needle on me BC my veins are thin and not very visible. When he did my draw he used a regular gauge needle not the small butterfly. It’s 3 days later and I still have a very large hematoma above the needle entry point and a large purple mark. I also have a black and blue mark where the tourniquet was placed on my arm. It was extremely tight, so tight that it hurt very bad while the 2 tubes were filling and my hand turned purple. The lab tech was nic and professional and things went well with my husband but I’ve had much better blood draw experiences.

This is the second time I've engaged Getlabs for my mother who is bed bound. Each time they rescheduled the appointment without contacting me first. It is because they said the lab order wasn't correct. The problem: they rescheduled the day before when I sent the lab order in weeks before. They could have notified me at any moment before the day before that the lab order was wrong. As an update, I contacted my mother's doctor's office on Wednesdsay, July 30, and explained the situation. They faxed over the lab order, which is the same one I emailed them at least a couple of weeks before. A Getlabs agent contacted me through text that they received the order and it was correct. The funny thing is that it's the SAME LAB ORDER that I sent in previously. Regardless, they re-scheduled my mother's appoinment to Thursday morning July 31 and the technician Lisette was prompt, friendly, thorough and efficient. She had come out previously and she is great. Unfortunately, I still do not want to use the company because I can't trust that they won't do the same thing in the future.

The first employee they sent to do my labs was horrible. He was playing music on his phone in my home, and while setting up, he wasn’t very professional and then he apparently didn’t label my labs so there were never any results. I had to contact the company I purchased through and only then a week and a half later did they tell me there were no results and reschedule my appointment. Then they cancelled the reschedule at 6:30 am only to reschedule it without asking about availability. So now I’m three weeks out from when this should be completed. However the second employee who came out was very professional, Michelle E, and she labeled my samples, was very efficient and I got a text confirming my labs were delivered. She gets a 10, but overall I have not enjoyed working with GetLab.

Scheduling is pretty easy BUT communication is very poor! There is NO phone number to call if there are issues on the appointment day. All ways of communicating on the website are BROKEN & don't work. I got NO messages of the status of the worker until 15 before the end of the appointed time frame, saying she would be 1 1/2 hours late. Messed up my whole day! I'm paying $100 for this convenience for my severely disabled daughter and it's causing the same stress as driving to the lab!! They need some serious overhaul on their customer's ability to communicate with them. Right now there is almost none. And NOW, writing this review, I can't scroll up to proofread/edit what I just wrote!

I like the idea of this service. This is a second review. My first on was 5 stars, but I had to take two away because one of my doctors orders us missing. I paid for the tests and Getlabs says the submitted them to LabCorp, but LabCorp only has one of my orders. I do not know if the problem is with Getlabs or LabCorp, but there should be more accountability and transparency between them for the consumer. I got a confirmation saying they submitted my samples to LabCorp but that's it. No details provided on the order or the location etc. So now I have to redo my tests again and it is a hassle.
