Once the active fleas are addressed, our collars or pendants can then be used to help prevent future infestations. Hello Bea, Thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re so sorry to hear that your cat is still struggling with fleas and discomfort—that’s absolutely not the outcome we want for any pet. While our collars are made with 100% natural ingredients and designed to repel fleas as a preventive measure, they do not kill existing fleas. If your cat already had fleas before putting on the collar, it’s important to first treat the active infestation using a flea spray or shampoo that targets and eliminates the fleas already present. Once the existing fleas are addressed, the collar can then help prevent future infestations. We also want to acknowledge your concern about the scabs—your cat may be having a sensitivity either to the fleas themselves or possibly to one of the natural oils used in the collar. We’d recommend removing the collar for now and consulting your veterinarian, especially if your cat is experiencing irritation. Please know your cat’s well-being is our top priority, and we’re here to help you find the right solution.
