Finally a solution , Contrave has helped me lose the weight that I needed to be healthy. The company needs to figure out a way to allow the patient to be on a maintenance dose forever. I fear once my time allotted to take the drug is over, I will gain my weight back.

I have been taking Contrave since the end of September 2017. I have tried everything to get the weight off. Contrave is working. I am down 80 pounds and I am just fine with slow and steady. That is how it went on. I no longer take acid reflux medication. I no longer want dessert all the time. In fact more than 1 bite makes me sick. It was slow at the beginning. Half a pound a week is pretty depressing as a start but then as my body adjusted to the dosage and my new eating habits it started coming off. I have a lot more energy now. I was not a big alcohol drinker before so not being able to drink alcohol at all doesn't bother me. The mood swings at the beginning will go away. They only lasted for me a couple of weeks while I was getting used to the medication. All in all my experience with taking Contrave and the company over the past 18 months has been excellent.
