Akko is easy to use and would recommend to any college student

Had positive experience with Akko. Accidentally dropped my phone and damaged screen. From the time of filing claim to getting phone repaired and reimbursed for cost of repair excluding deductible, the whole process took 2 days. During entire process customer service has been prompt in responding to emails.

This was my first time filing a claim for my phone with Akko. Customer service was quick to respond to my claim and get the process going. I broke my phone on Wednesday and I had a repaired phone back in my hands and was reimbursed by Friday. I also love the low deductible for screen repairs!

UDPATE - I've had to file 2 claims now and they were wonderful with both claims. Telling everyone I meet about them. Don't hesitate just make sure to read the fine print as soon as you sign up and get all your items added correctly. And make sure to add tracking on your phone! Well I bought the one phone plus 25 electronics annual plan. My car was broken in to a week ago and I am kicking myself for not filling out all the items I wanted covered - had just started doing it. Well good news one of the items was covered and started the claim process a week ago and finally was completed this evening with a payment to my paypal. They even waived the deductible because it took longer than normal. For stolen items they do require police reports (I was prepared with that), pictures, videos, estimates for replacements etc. Also was not aware that any electronic item related to to automotive (mine was a computer system with oem disagnotic scan tools) are not covered. So I think it will cover the laptop - printer - and router. Just be warned about the criteria required (you have to fill out each item in detail with receipts and photos prior to claim and if phone needs to have location discovery on). In all my years I've never had such a great experience

Insuring my cellphone has become more and more expensive. Cell phone companies offering insurance at $15 to $18 per device plus a $250 deductible. I have a family plan with 8 devices and so I was looking for more affordable alternatives when I came across AKKO. I am so glad I found them, not only am I saving they actually turned out to be great and better then the regular cell insurance US companies. I filed the theft report on 2/1/22 and a day later, they sent the funds for a new one through PayPal! I am not going back to traditional cell phone company insurance (Asurion/AT&T or Assurant / Tmobile). Even the deductible was cheaper, $99 versus $250 with Asurion & Assurant and they send you the funds to buy a new phone. Whereas Asurion and Assurant send you a refurbished phone. For the sign-up process, you do have to take pictures of your cell front and back, IMEI # and a receipt of purchase. Each phone number gets their own password so they can uniquely sign in and file a claim for their device.

EDIT: Due to improper pictures, they rejected my claim. Obviously I was very upset - because I think that they should have some sort of system to prevent this. However, after speaking with the customer service I spoke with a manager, Riley, and she was great. They honored the claim and asked that I republish the photos and can help if there are any issues. I will stick with the plan and am happy they have a good manager that handled the issue professionally. If you choose to go with this plan take the photos exactly as required in the instructions!
