General RV, 1577 Wells Road Orange Park, FL (Jacksonville) just stole $500 from us when we decided, within the three-day rescission period, not to go ahead with the non-deal they negotiated. This is NOT an honest or ethical company!

I purchased a Thor Palladium RV in June…2025
I purchased a Thor Palladium RV in June 2025 from General RV in Huntley, Illinois. This review concerns both the quality of the product and the service provided by General RV and Thor Motor Coach.
During its maiden voyage, the unit suffered a major failure while traveling 60 mph in the mountains of Tennessee. It failed again shortly afterward while traveling 35 mph in a subdivision. Despite the RV being under warranty, neither General RV nor Thor acted with urgency to address these serious safety and reliability issues.
The RV was only towed to Indiana after the threat of legal action. It then sat for months with poor communication, little follow-up, and no meaningful customer support. After repairs were supposedly completed at the end of October, the RV was placed into storage for the winter. When brought out again in the spring, additional wiring and battery failures occurred, requiring yet another return for repairs.
For anyone considering the purchase of an RV, carefully consider not only the product you are buying, but also the dealership standing behind it. In my experience, General RV was willing to sell the product, but far less willing to support it after the sale. I was repeatedly transferred between departments and individuals without resolution.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend either the product quality or the level of customer service provided by Thor or General RV.

General RV in Salisbury - buyers beware
General RV in Salisbury is the worse RV dealer I have ever dealt with (I have had 3 RVs) and I feel a responsibility to future buyers to make them aware. This is the first and only review I have ever left so I am not a constant complainer.
I bought a very expensive diesel pusher last summer and every aspect of the transaction has been horrible. Sales, vehicle delivery, parts and service have been horrible. I ended up having to go to the factory in Indiana to get my rig serviced. Advisors don’t return calls (repeatedly-not an isolated incident) and when you have an appointment to get your rig serviced-that’s only an appointment with an advisor; it will likely be several weeks before your rig actually makes it inside a bay to begin the actual work. The process is fundamentally flawed. They will not connect you with the service manager either. They list various department heads on their website but no mention of the service manager. Why is that?
When you have an appointment at the factory; you have an appointment in the shop that day. Buyers should only buy a brand from this dealer that offers factory service and you should be prepared to take your rig to the factory for service. In my case, the factory did a fantastic job. Full days drive to Indiana but it was well worth it.
Buyers should know what they are getting into up front.

Company CANNOT be trusted- LIARS
The company sold us a non-working air conditioner and keeps claiming that it worked. It only has a working fan that blows whatever temperature is outside. Unfortunately, we bought it in Ocala on December 8, 2026 at 55 degree day- so it appeared to be working as it blew in the outside air. They REFUSE to help us. Liars and Cheaters. Do NOT buy from them.

I'll keep this short and to the point
I'll keep this short and to the point. Bought a new 2024 Holiday Rambler. General RV Michigan is just bad. Sales experience at Wixom started well, then went to hell on delivery day. Lied to about PDI, walk through was a disaster. First night in coach, had a propane leak, awning sensor kept going off every 2 minutes, blah, blah, blah....service department had the coach for 3 months and only fixed 2 out of 10 warranty issues. Had them install roof vent covers and they screwed that up, had to replace all 3 roof vents, one now leaks! Now they won't even address an NHTSA recall for a different propane issue. If we had it to do all over, we'd buy used, inspected by a certified RV Surveyor, and deal with a certified independent repair facility with a good reputation.

Beware beware I drove 12 hours…
Beware beware I drove 12 hours round-trip from Key West . to purchase a 2026 coachman, leprechaun
I showed up started doing the walk around the first thing he showed me the awning wouldn’t retract
the second thing, he tried to show me the strip lights in the back. Only one of them worked
as I’m watching him fight the awning I noticed that there was white caulking spread all over the seam at the roof at the front of the RV didn’t notice on the other side of the front above the driver
they have ran into something
they were trying to sell me a wrecked 2026 and hoping I would not notice it when I did notice it. Nobody wanted to speak to me about it. Nobody came out to say sorry
they left me and my wife in the showroom until we ended up just ended up, leaving
never has a management from anywhere contacted me to apologize or offer me any gas money or anything to reimburse me for my time
buyer beware this RV dealer is selling wrecked vehicles and they will not tell you and they hope that you just drive away with it.
If I didn’t know what I was talking about this would’ve been my RV and I would’ve drove away with it thinking I did that
we tried to get the manager‘s name or phone number or email address before we left and the girls at the front desk said that they didn’t do that
BEWARE of this RV DEALER Stay Away

Fraudsters!!!!!
Paid a $1000 deposit in Orange Park Fl and decided to not go through with the purchase due to an uneasy feeling about them. Turned out to be correct as we were originally told our deposit would be refunded in 3-4 days. After a week I emailed to inquire about it and was told we signed a non refundable paper. We absolutely knew we did not and asked for proof. They emailed a copy of a purchase agreement we absolutely never saw or signed!!! They forged my signature as well as my wife’s! We were also told we had signed a contract with US Bank. Also a lie as we didn’t find out we were approved until we left via a call. They refused to send a copy of that. We finally received our money back only after threatening legal action. I reported this to the Florida Attorney General’s office via online. Hopefully they pursue it! Last time I checked forgery was still a crime.
