We were offered a deal on a used class a on Sunday but at the last minute our sales rep Dillon told us he needed service to check out some minor issues and we needed to wait until Monday. We left with a handshake and his promise to call us on Monday. I waited until 5PM and called him to which he then said he thought the deal was off?? At no time did we indicate not wanting this unit at the agreed price. Subsequently I have contacted a sales manager Chris, operations manager Tim and the corporate office in Michigan. I’ve had zero return calls when they all have promised a follow up on the same day. DO NOT INDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE AN RV FROM A PLACE THAT CANT EVEN DIAL A PHONE!!!!

I want to start by acFriendly sales team overshadowed by unfulfilled promises, questionable delivery explanations, and an unusable RV for over 10 months.knowledging that…
I want to start by acknowledging that when we decided to purchase a 20-year-old RV, we fully expected that a vehicle of that age would require ongoing maintenance and occasional repairs. However, during the sales process, we were explicitly promised no less than twice that the RV would be "ready to use" at delivery. The sales team itself was pleasant and easy to work with, but unfortunately, everything that followed delivery has been a severe disappointment.
Since discovering immediate slide-out and entry step failures at delivery—along with underlying electrical system defects—this RV has not been safe to drive. We have now gone over 10 months without a safely usable RV, and were ultimately forced to cancel our planned summer trip after the service department held the vehicle for four weeks and failed to even accurately diagnose the core issues.
Major issues with General RV’s service department and delivery process include:
Dishonest Explanations at Delivery: When the slide-out failed during delivery, staff claimed the issue was simply caused by a "faulty charging station" in their service bay, and that switching to a different station fixed it. Time has proven this was clearly not the root cause.
Refusal to Disclose Pre-Sale Service Records: Despite two explicit requests, General RV has refused to provide service records dating from when they took possession of the RV to when they delivered it to us. This unwillingness to provide basic documentation strongly suggests that the electrical and slide-out defects were known prior to sale, and that the "charging station" claim was merely used to bypass delivery.
Months of Unusable Retention & Lack of Communication: General RV held our RV for a total of four months across multiple visits. Throughout this time, there was virtually no proactive communication; I repeatedly had to call and text just to get basic status updates.
Four Weeks in Shop with Zero Diagnosis: During a focused four-week stay intended primarily to troubleshoot the electrical system, technicians were completely unable to identify or resolve the actual electrical issue.
Charges for Failed "Band-Aid" Repairs: We were billed for repairs—such as a battery cutoff switch installation—that were framed as solutions to the electrical drain. Ultimately, these attempts failed, and the severe battery drain remains completely unresolved.
False "Ready for Pickup" Notifications: After four weeks in the shop, we were notified the RV was ready to be picked up. Upon arrival, we found multiple issues unaddressed:
The slide-out wiper blade was never installed.
The entry step was still broken.
The battery drain remained active.
The slide-outs still get stuck extended on occasion.
We understood that buying an older RV meant managing repairs, but we expected transparency and basic technical competence. Instead, we have endured unfulfilled "ready to use" promises, misleading technical explanations, withheld service records, and over 10 months of owning an unsafe, unusable vehicle. I cannot recommend General RV's service department.

Awful Experience
I bought a brand new camper from General RV in Ft Pierce. I brought it home, and after it rained, I realized that water was leaking in through the ceiling panels, and the whole interior was soaked. I brought it back to General RV. After it sat in their service department for over three months, a service manager called me to tell me it still hadn't been fixed. I expressed concerns about mold growing, especially since the ceiling panels had been completely full of water, and he denied that there had ever been water in the ceiling panels. I have pictures and videos of water pouring out of the overhead light fixtures. I told them I wanted my money back but would walk away from it if they made me a reasonable offer. They gave me a lowball offer. The regional manager called me and told me that all campers have leaks in the ceiling, even brand new ones. It's still there, and I don't know what to do. I've reached out to their corporate customer service Camp Crew, and they've been no help.

Do Not Ever Go Here!!
Do Not Ever Go Here!!! These people are shady and will lie and cheat and give you faulty products. If I could give a negative star review I would. They claimed we were getting a new camper and instead delivered a very used camper with a meriad of problems that were never fixed after months of requesting. They damaged the camper in said timeframe of requesting repairs. And when reviewing the contract they wrote it in that they are allowed to do so. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. They lied to our faces and said they would fix the problems we brought up but never did. And they saw that the wrong stableizers were installed and said nothing which is a major safety hazard. Do not work with them you will be very disappointed with the product they provide.

The customer service from General RV…
The customer service from General RV has been the worst we have ever experienced in the RV world in 40 years. We purchased a new 2026 Class C RV at the Tampa show and they assigned us a new unit on their lot in Ocala. We loved it but later discovered there is suspension issue that is evident to even a novice RV’er! The unit is not level, leans drastically to the driver side and is a nightmare to drive! It is all over the road! We have had every type of RV over four decades and even traveled to Alaska and back from Key West, Florida with a Class A! We can’t get anyone to help us. We have been through a dozen people who call themselves managers. Please note that we both have held senior executive positions and run large companies where customer service is key. We get nothing but a run around since January! We have begged for help thinking we would win someone over that would want to help. No one!!!! Our customer documented conversation file is pages long at this point! They acknowledge there is an issue, however, no one is willing to take the helm to help us! We have methodically went up the chain to the President and COB trying to give every level a chance to resolve. But we just keep getting pushed back (through AI direction I’m sure) to the local store that is clearly not capable of solving the problem and thinks if they ignore us long enough we will go away. That will not happen. Please understand that we love our new RV and just want it fixed!!! It’s really that simple! But do not buy an RV from this dealer! You will regret it! They do not care about you after the sale is made. Next steps coming!

Don’t buy from any General RV
I purchased a 2026 new Coachman Remote 14R. About 50 days later. The battery was releasing a rotten egg smell. I take it in, to General RV West Palm Beach location. They give me a new battery and send me off. I insist they must check the solar panel, and check what is causing the battery to smoke up. They check it and the solar panel control is over charging the battery. They get with the manufacturer and it will take 6 weeks to ship me a new solar panel control board. I wait the 6 weeks, I go in to get it installed, the screen is cracked on the new control. The service man says they will put that one in for now. He will take pictures and get with the manufacture to send a new one. Then as I’m leaving I want it writing. Now the story changes and they say I must contact the manufacture, the part was mailed to me. I don’t know who makes the solar control. Some one at General RV ordered it not me. Now I must wait until they get it all figured out. In the mean while I’ve purchased a new unit from them, that has defects, and I must fight constantly so they do there job and fix it.
